If that were the case ND would have dropped the Michigan team that flat out OWNED OSU!! how hard is that to figure out! They schedule a team that was MUCH better than OSU but are afraid to play OSU? LOL!!

As for USC you can bet that ND will still be playing USC in 5-10 years despite USC kicking ND 's ass MUCH worse than OSU did. Just maybe it had to be with OSU fans spitting on the Preists like I said many times.

I've stayed away from this one as soon as I saw the title.

Now much like any train wreck, I just had to look and suprise, suprise.

NDchimp flaming and trolling, then going to the chewbacca-3-word-sentence-with-exclamation-marks-at-the-end defense when his weak ass shit is called time after time.

Its about as suprising as Romanowski admitting to using steroids and Boy George admitting he is gay.

Glad he brings something to some forum on this site because I haven't seen shit that was ever of any substance from him on the football boards.

YEAH IT SUCKS BECAUSE AS USUAL I DIDNT START IT....

OK Mili, having looked at it more carefully, in 2000 and 2001 when ND apparently did not schedule OSU because as you say they were afraid. ND instead played a NEBRASKA a team that had won 3 NC's on the last 7 or so years. Why did I not see that before. THE END...


2000 Nebraska 10-2
2000 OSU 8-4 YEAH ND WAS AFRAID OF THAT.....

2001 NEBRASKA 11-2
2001 OSU 7-5

Yet again, you prove the worthlessness of a Notre Dame education. What part of "been playing USC since 1926" is too difficult for you to understand? Or "played Michigan nearly every year since 1978"? Or the fact that that ND is stuck with playing USC and Michigan forever because if they drop them from the schedule they look chicken? ND had the perfect chance to play a team "much worse than Michigan" yet refused, because that team "much worse than Michigan" flat out kicked Notre Dame's ass twice.

The retards just keep get more retarded. So they scheduled Nebraska. That doesn't change the fact that Ohio State offered to play Notre Dame on their mutual open dates in 2000 and 2001 and Notre Dame declined.

Wrong...yet again. You still had the open dates to play Ohio State (Sep 30, 2000 and Sep 15, 2001). You played Nebraska several weeks before those open dates both years, so it's not as if ND had to make a choice between the two...there was no schedule conflict, and thus ND didn't decline to play Ohio State in order to be able to play Nebraska, but rather because they didn't want to.

I really couldn't care less about Notre Dame, or any other team for that matter. Every year, Ohio State needs to win its twelve scheduled games, then its bowl game, and hope that that is enough for a national championship (in other words, that the Bucks don't get screwed by the BCS like Aubrun did last season). What other team do should be irrelevant as long as the Buckeyes take care of their own business.

We agree that OSU and ND last played in 1996, I assume.

OK... in 1997 Michigan won half a title and did beat OSU 20 - 14 0 - 1
1998 OSU crushed Michigan 1 - 1
1999 OSU lost 17 - 24 1-2
2000 OSU lost 26- 38 1-3
2001 OSU won 2- 3
2002 OSU won 3-3
2003 OSU lost 3-4
2004 OSU won 4-4

Since 1996, I wouldn't say Michigan has flat out owned OSU.

Mili, we have USC, Miami, VTech and others on the future schedules. How come we don't combine them? Is it b/c we are pansies? Maybe LSU called up and wanted to fill our bye week in 06. Do they get to mock us for being afraid b/c we didn't schedule them in addition to Texas (and IIRC the bye week is during the big ten schedule).

However you want to spin it, we weren't that great in 2000 or 2001. Nebraska was great those two years (b/c before the 2001 season they were highly touted).

Look, ND has a tough schedule. Ours is also tough. You can make fun of ND, or say that they haven't beaten a tough opponent yet. But this 00 & 01 argument isn't holding water.
