This 100%. I think it really is that simple. UNC wound up #10 and will not make that jump. And a two loss team does not jump us. That being said, I would love Bama to be the one that goes down so we can see zero SEC teams make it and two B1G schools in. The south's brains would explode and it would be beautiful to watch.

Not me.. give me Tree I'm the Rose Bowl for two reasons.

1. It sets up a classic rose bowl show down

2. When we beat Stanford we will establish that under no circumstances should the PAC 12 be considered over a ohio state team in the future.

We know ND will be given the benefit of doubt like us in the future. May as well expose another conference then

So, in one of these playoff threads I put OSU's odds at 35% because that's about the chance UNC has to beat Clemson.
Florida's chances (per the ML) are about 10%

If the assumption that either one will work then the OSU odds are slightly better than 35%

Not ideal but one hell of a lot better than the 0% so many were certain of on Saturday

I think Florida is going to play bama tough... their defense has the talent out wide to lock down their WRS. I think they're going to make things tough on bama...

Look if MSU can beat us with their back up QBS then Florida at least has a shot. As small as that is at least it's a shot.

One of the reasons I so want this to happen is that Michigan Man's head would explode. In the week leading up to the game they were falling all over themselves to push that a 2 loss Michigan team that beat OSU should get consideration to be included in the playoffs. Now that both MSU and OSU have a chance, they can't believe the committee would take a 1 loss OSU over a 1 loss UNC.

Look, I love Tom but tOSU doesn't have anything to 'lose' playing Houston. That game would be an absolute massacre.

Kirby Smart is rumored to have agreed to accept the Georgia job and later that week ?

I know, I know, Florida's offense is a pile of (Mark May).

But you never know.

Oh tOSU has a lot to lose if the game is even close, perception wise. It'd be a massacre, and that would also hurt us perception wise, its a lose lose situation. Playing another SEC team or ND would be the best scenario
