The only watch I own, Tudor 58. On the lookout for a GMT but otherwise content with a one watch collection.

Unless you want the classic GMT Master look and bezel, you should take a look at that Montblanc that I posted. It's a great looking watch and fits your size requirements to a tee. Plus, it's one-third the cost of a GMT Master at retail, which you're never going to get unless you've spent tens of thousands of dollars with the dealer.

Beater watch came today along with some straps that I bought for it. Seiko 5s are great values for decent automatic watches, but the bracelet is complete crap. I guess that's one of the ways they cut costs. Watch seems solid enough though.

If you don't want to spend Omega money but want something mechanical. Check out some of the microbrands. This one is Baltic out of France. Assembled in France using a Japanese movement. Watch has a cool retro 60s diver look to it. Slightly over 500 clams or bones or whatever you call them. Seiko (not Grand Seiko) automatics are also a good place to look.

Dealers really are ridiculous. I put down a deposit for my Tudor and was told it'd arrive in a few weeks. A few weeks later, I called and told them I wanted a refund and that I didn't want the watch. Was told that the person who processes refunds was not available and that they would call back later. Later that same day, the dealer called and said my watch arrived and I could pick up that night. Considering that it was some random weekday and the chances of it arriving the same day are basically 0.01%, the dealer had those watches in stock and are playing games with who gets them. Surprised Rolex doesn't just jack the price of each of their steel watches to approximately $12,000 and sell direct online from their website instead of going through dealers.
