The Gwaltney camp denied the WVU article too.

we have a new favorite post from the wake fags:

OK, here's the deal. MAYBE Oden said something to someone who works for the Indy Star AND maybe that gets spun into what that reporter thinks is THE scoop. { reporters often first decide what to write and the listen to ANYTHING that will confirm even a little of it } Obviously Conley, Sr. wants one more shot at this. His statement today is a CLEAR " hey not so fast" . At worst he wants the boys to call Skip and be classy about it. Without blowing too much sunshine there is one very powerful thing on our side this morning. SOMETHING HAS CHANGED since Oden's comments ( if there were any ) SINCE yesterday. This morning Chris Paul in a beautiful, classy and untarnished WAKE jersey is on the cover of McPaper. Oden's hero Timmy Duncan is in every sports section in the world holding BOTH of the most coveted trophies in Basketball. Kids go to Carolina because of tradition { Jordan, etc. }, they go to Duke b/c of the faux mystique created by rat-face. This morning WAKE BASKETBALL TRADTION was displayed in color to the whole world. ONE CALL from Timmy Duncan to Oden before Monday and these guys are Deacons. Question is : who gets Duncan to make the call ? Its always been our one last best trump card. TODAY is the day to play it !

I know we should be used to this by now, but these guys are over the top. I don't remember Bucknuts ever being this bad (but then again, I do have a bad memory).

IndyStar - "Oden to OSU"
Posted: 6/24/05 8:04:05 am the only good thing will be that all the annoying stupid O$U will go away. Hope they get the death sentence from the NCAA and these kids never see post season play, unless it is on TV.

Posted: 6/24/05 9:04:20 am If they want to be associated with a shady athletic program and have their performances overshadowed by corrupt subplots, so be it. They had better alternatives and were warned.

Posted: 6/24/05 9:30:05 am I don't wish any ill will to these 17 year old kids but do to whomever has been advising them to make this decision. At least the ethically challenged OSU program will not be sending their posters over here anymore. We will survive this just fine but I am not at all sure these kids will. I have said before that anybody that would make this decision at this time is probably not smart enough to come to Wake and survive anyway. Good luck to them.

Posted: 6/24/05 10:16:28 am Many thanks, Daequan Cook! Also, that should teach us to NEVER listen to a punk 17-year-old kid again in JANUARY when he is saying "Wake is my leader and always has been..."

Posted: 6/24/05 10:28:15 am Call it sour grapes but I haven't liked Oden and Conley ever since they went on their official to OSU. They have basically been a major tease and waste of my time.

Re: IndyStar -
Posted: 6/24/05 11:22:26 am I gotta be honest, I am shocked that these kids are this dumb. Maybe they just want to play one year and not go to the dance so that they won't have pressure to return. That is the only reason, though highly illogical, that I can possibly see. This is retarded. Good luck to them, but they dont have a functional human brain between them if they go.

this is the wake forest equivalent of fred davis. while BN may have chastized fred and pete carolls sweet-talk, I can honestly say that i dont think it was that bad.

i did find the post about "something has changed...one call from tim duncan" post rather enjoyable.

its rather fun to be on the winning side of a recruiting coup for once.

i wonder if the thought that conley sr is denying the article is because he wants the kids to say it themselves has even crossed their minds....or if they just suppress it.

Good luck to them, but there isn't a functional human brain between any of the posters on that board.

I love how all their hate towards ohio state is because 2 big time recruits were clearly going to choose OSU over them......so from that point on they became experts at anything and everything relating to the bball program. Some things I learned about the OSU bball program from over there.

-Obrien paid to get players to play for him......it doesn't matter that it was a loan AFTER the kid was inelligible to play
-Oden & Conley are now on the payroll
-OSU bball has little to no fanbase....those that do cheer for them don't know anything about basketball because OSU is a football school.
-The bball program will get the death penalty
-So will the fball program
-Matta is leaving for Indiana in 1-2 years
-After the hammer is lowered onto OSU bball...Oden & Conley will change their minds and go to a lower level school for a year

I wish I knew about their site sooner so I could've known this earlier.

I am absolutely astounded that those clowns on the WF's (Is that meant to be Waste of Fucking space) board are still at this. Can't they just take their ass-whipping like ladies?

Or at least revel in TD's endeavors -- probably last time the WF'ers will pull in a future MVP from the Virgin Isles.

the hilarious thing is that many thought that since Conley has either visited the board or has relatives to do so... that they could affect his recruiting decision.

WF is a very small school and most of the posters that are current students seem to know each other.

I couldn't imagine wanting to go to school with these kids, especially if you ended up making a minor violation (like smoking weed or something)... look how they crucified Chris Paul.

Glad to have them behind us, they can enjoy battling it out with NC State to see who can be third best in the state.
