Boy what a collection of babies. They turned an oden thread into a pissing match about hating wakefan87 and a pissing match about whose test scores & grades are higher.

Sometimes we need a rating meter for fan boards. Sort of like the hot pepper grade. With >1 FB Point meaning more rabid and insane, and < 1 FB Points (allowed to go negative) meaning less rabid and insane. Like the hot pepper rating scale you have a maximum. At this rate the worst of WF will be hard to beat as a top of the line in idiocy -- I'm giving them a rating of 20 FB Points (Bucknuts might rate maybe a 15 on its bad days).

Wow, stupidity must run amuck in this state:

OSU has 2 (working on 4) top-25 players, Duke has 2 t25 plus 5 t100, UNC has 4 t100 and are still working, and wake is somehow gonna pass these guys? Keep drinking that koolaid.

Wow they really are desparate down there. I can't believe anyone but a WF fan would write an article like this. Even with Oden/Conley you can't convince me they'd surpass Duke or UNC's class.

CHAPEL HILL - While analysts gush over the success of Duke and North Carolina in early recruiting of the class of 2006, Wake Forest is in position to have a comparable class -- if the right pieces fall into place. . .

Wake Forest already has commitments from scout.com top-100 players Jamie Skeen (No. 41) of North Mecklenburg and L.D. Williams of Monteverde, Fla. (No. 86).

this just about sums it up for those morons over there:
If Oden is truly concerned about getting a great education, then WF would be the favorite. Problem is that the last 7 ft. tall, concensus #1 prospect who was truly more concerned with an education than getting into the NBA, was probably David Robinson.....

I think he'll go to IU for a year and then jump to the NBA.

If the kid's choice has come down to "cheaters who are punished" or "cheaters who are not punished," then WFU is out of the equation.
Wahh... maybe that's b/c they know they won't even be on the face of college basketball late in march if they were on the Wake Forest Chokers team
Why bother with this mess when there is a perfectly good alternative?
...
Because they can "change the face of college basketball forever" or whatever the hell Thad told them
this isn't totally dumb, but I have a hard time believing they won't still take Oden
IF they wait for the NCAA decision(s) it sounds as if we have fallen to number 2 on their list, or at best: tied for #1.
If they wait too long, they may not stay #1 on our list.
This is just plain brilliant. Apparently WF students are so spoiled they can't see the difference between a plane ticket and a tank of gas...
also agree that the longer this drags out the better it is for WF. I really do not get the distance thing. It's not like Columbus is a suburb of Indiapolis. Flying to NC will take about the same time as driving to Ohio. The way that the distance issue is raised you would think that WF is in Seattle.
more signs of the brainpower they have over there at WF
The NCAA is more vindictive than an ex-wife who finds
her hubby in bed with her best friend on their wedding night.

They are pissed they didn't get OSU on the Clarett problems.
an intelligent poster on WF's board? Ban him!
RoRo,
I'm sure Conley looks at it as O'Brien being a cheater and Matta not being a cheater.

Well met Mili... the last linked thread is much more decent than the rest you usually find over there. There are a good amount of good posters, they just have no moderation when the frequent flamers chime in.

Tho Hoopscoop apparently hasn't checked the news in the last month if they think Oden is a lock for Wake. If anything drastic happens to OSU, he's likely to consider the NBA over wake according to many "expert guesses."

I didn't post a single flame... I'm now banned from the Deac board...???

If I punked them I'd understand... guess being small brother to UNC and Duke really have pushed them over the edge... anybody else get the feeling Wake has little man syndrome? I wouldn't care except I actually like the school and root for them in the ACC (I don't care for Duke, and like underdogs, so I don't usually root for UNC... although I don't mind their program)...

These wake flamers sure help make the long summer months go by faster. Their latest retarded thread:

Wake forest was #17 in bball attendance, OSU #16. Immediately followed by a 'their boosters must have bought off the fans too' line. They went on to show how this proves that OSU is a one-trick pony.

My response (including how we filled up 96% of our arena in 2000):

(BTW, their board is weird, and if you want to see replies you have to go back out into the Sports forum and hit refresh. If you just hit refresh in the thread, you will never see a reply.)
