Anyone here using google music? If so what do you use to sync your library? I've been syncing google music with my itunes library, but I'm now at the point where I can finally ditch that program. Playlist syncing is very important for me.

What do you mean sync your library? Google Music syncs your library to the cloud automatically itself. I have been using Google Music for a very long time (beta tested it) and absolutely love it. 20,000 songs stored in the cloud and stream-able from my phone, tablet, pc, etc...

There is an app you download on your PC. The app just runs in the system tray, and within it you configure it by adding the locations of your music you want to sync. Whenever new files get added to those locations it automatically uploads it to the Google Music cloud servers and you can then stream it from there. It's instantaneous as well.

I have a Windows Home Server 2011 system at home with Google Music on it. I can remote into my server from anywhere with an internet connection so a lot of times I do that, then go download music even if I am on the go. I can download it and then it auto uploads to Google Music cloud so I usually have new music on the go on my phone within a couple of minutes.

As for playlists, you can create edit and delete playlists from any device where you login to your google music account and it syncs it over to every other device. It's all account based rather than device which is nice.

I know how google music works, I've been using it since beta as well. I just find that it does a terrible job of syncing my playlists I've created in Itunes. Especially one's that are sorted by date. Hopefully one day I'll get around to completely ditching itunes.

I have never really used iTunes much. If you are looking into creating a home server than you might want to look at Windows 8 instead of WHS since it is being discontinued (they have built-in server functions with Windows 8 for using it as such).

I don't use it myself but co-workers of mine have preached about Plex for organizing their media.

I tried to buy a Note II from Sprint, but forgot to unlock my (darned pretty) credit report so they could check it. After multiple phone calls and emails to confirm it was accessible, the order canceled automatically because they never got around to pulling the report. Then last week I saw a deal on Amazon and decided to give them another shot, and Amazon Wireless canceled it within minutes because the address they've been mailing things to all this time doesn't validate. With this much hassle, might as well stick with Verizon, except that I use data in bursts that would work better on Sprint's plan, and here Sprint leases Verizon's network anyway. Still deciding whether they get another chance. But what I really want is a full tablet that makes calls - I almost never use the phone as a phone anyway.

What about tethering your phone's internet connection to a tablet?

Any tips for the phone? There's a few things I don't like about touchwiz. #1 is the brightness slider in the notification bar.

the usual for android...

Root
Debloat
Enjoy

is your upgraded to JB yet if not then wait to root. It really is a slick phone, I've actually grown to tolerate touchwiz. It just seems to work better than say ADW/Apex/Nova launchers

Root and debloat or Cyanogenmod will be what I eventually do. No JB for me yet on AT&T as far as I know.

My cell is old and also dead. Has to be a new something. Maybe I'll go with a prepaid phone and get a tablet with a data plan, but it really seems as though one device ought to work for both purposes.

I use the NOTE II and it's a great device, I was carrying around my S3 and my Galaxy Tab for a while since i can access my network from Android and do all my stuff, I found the screen on the S3 just a little too small, I tried out the Note II and it's exactly what I needed, a nice in between, manage networks, play games, watch movies, and it has a decent battery life when compared to the S3.

Highly recommended.
