Verizon & Android news

Nexus pre-orders are supposed to start today or tomorrw per BGR. Anyone have a Razor or Rezound review? These phones are so huge they don't fit well in my front pocket. At least the razor didn't. I am a little dissapointed in the Nexus reviews I have read too, but it seems like the best bang for my $. Any one else picking one up?

The rapid system updates are a major attraction, as is having a replaceable battery (unlike the two droids).

I plan to take my headphones into a verizon once the prime comes out and test the sound quality. The rezound sounded amazing, but I need to see if that was the headphones or the sound amplifier. My droid incredible put out pretty mediocre sound (useable, just not worth plugging my high tech headphones into).

Have they improved the quality of the headphone jacks on the Android phones? I ended up claiming my phone under insurance because of a headphone jack issue, got a new one and not a month later was having the same exact issue. May end up being a deciding factor of buying my new phone.

Does your phone have any sort of EQ settings?

I've had no headphone jack issues with my N1. I'd say that's more of a manufacturer issue than Android though.

So Motorola= No bueno?

I'm really looking into the Razr, I like what I'm seeing. But if the headphone jack is going to suck like this Droid, I don't want any part of it.

My primary use for my phone is listening to music. But I think I'm also investing in an iPod Nano for when I go out on runs around the neighborhood. I needed something light weight because the phone just doesn't work when putting it in your pocket. It just bounces around and hits you in the nuts.

So you had OG Droid? I'd chalk it up to being that, nothing else. Phones have come a long way since then, even if it doesn't seem like that long.

I haven't had any jack issues with my HTC Droid incredible. it just puts out average sound, which could probably be cured by a pocket amplifier but I'm not that big of a music guy.

I listen to podcasts like as the Bugle, Car Talk or Wait Wait as often as Pandora.
