Stuff couldn't have gone worse last night. VT's defense was more aggressive thans ours, and I don't even want to think about DC comparisons.

At my own risk I'm going to disagree slightly. I actually thought Chris Ash and the defense showed a lot of reasons for optimism, especially in he second half. Yes, they struggled to get off the field one third down in the first half but overall I think the scheme suits our players very well. I still see some issues like Powell's tackling and Curtis Grant getting lost at times but there are a lot of positives to take away. There were a couple of playcalls that came back to bite them, like the blitz up the middle against the jet sweep but sometimes those things happen. The combination of Ash, LJ Sr. and this defensive line makes me think they will be able to overcome some of their shortcomings this year. That should still be an attractive combination to a kid like Sweat to want to be a part of.Stuff couldn't have gone worse last night. DON'T SWEAT IT
Lots of people asking about it, so here it is, from a source close to Ohio State's side of the Josh Sweat recruitment.
"Things went great for Josh on his visit," the source shared with 11W. "But I still don't believe that we're real with (Sweat)."
Getting an official visit from the nation's top-ranked overall player was a huge step for the Buckeyes, but being his first visit means there's a long way left to go, but the Buckeyes are not feeling optimistic that they'll be able to land him at this point.
