It’s not exactly “new”, just reimagined…Another new football league? I'm sure this one will succeed...

Might last longer, but will anyone give a shit? This one is in a partnership with the NFL if I am not mistaken?
If so, that should help.

The Rock's XFL has that partnership. They plan to kickoff next Spring. So basically the USFL had better hit a home run this year. A long MLB lockout might help.
Basically, the USFL won't lose anyone to the XFL who they actually want to keep. Smart move, contractually. The XFL will really be scraping the barrel, if the USFL survives.
I wouldn’t worry about finding players, there’s still a bunch of guys from D2 or D3 schools, to go along with the large number of G5 and P5who never sniff the NFL and have been shuffling through semi pro and arena leagues. Virtually every city and anyone who’s followed their local HS football scene knows of guys who were stares now just work out, or are in one of those lower leagues.
Yes. I do for a few weeks, and then attention will fall off. That’s what almost always happens with these minor football leagues. We’ll see guys we remembered, say “oh yeah”, and then tune out by week 3 or 4. And fans of college teams love seeing what happened to players who left. I’m sure if guys like: JT Barrett, Jalin Marshall, Binjimin Victor, Tuf Borland, Dante Booker, Damon Webb, etc played in these leagues many of us would have some interest. Heck, Cardale playing in the XFL for the team in Washington Drew decent ratings for a while, propped up by OSU fans. Will anyone actually want to watch teams made up of a bunch of semi pro and arena players? Guys who weren't even good enough for the USFL?
We don't even know if people will watch the USFL, much less guys below it.

I feel pretty much the same-more football is a good thing. I'll watch of I'm watching TV, or I'll DVR it and watch when nothing else is on. I'm especially interested when Buckeyes or former recruits/Big 10 players that I know are playing. So the key word you used was "want". And that makes it a little tough.
First, I want to watch football. Yes, even in spring and yes, even G5 players, D2 players, and D3 players.
Second, I don't plan my day around it. If it's on when I'm looking for something then I watch it. I might watch about 3 hours total a weekend.
Third, if it is anything like... what was it? AAFL or something? That was awful. But I watched it. I enjoyed watching Christian Hackenberg throw egg after egg after egg. Is it him or is his team really that bad? The answer came when they took him out and his back-up led the team to some wins. Ha!
That AAFL thing - I thought, "Hey - it'll be like college football without the tradition." I was wrong - it was MAC football without the tradition. Take all the NFL-bound players and the CFL-bound players out of college football, and at least you still have some traditional match-ups, even if they don't really mean anything.
