Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

Thanks Corch.

Wish it went down a different way.

Can’t even begin to describe the disappointment in seeing national talking heads describing what a great guy Meyer is when they’ve spent the entire season hiding under rocks or condemning him.

He is 54. Nick Saban is 67. Meyer has a lot of tread left on the tires. I wouldn’t fault him one bit if he took another 1-2 year break and got back in the saddle (preferably at my alma mater FSU).

Get yourself right coach and thanks for the memories. You owned Harbaugh and it was a pleasure to watch. I wish there wasn’t such an agenda against OSU/Big 10, but you couldn’t have done a better job under the circumstances. OH!

Sadly, this confirms the suspicion generated by that shot during The Game of Shelley sobbing in the stands after one of the TDs.

Makes one wonder if the team didn't already know before the game.

Anyway, this will take some getting used to. Wish he could have gone out with an undefeated season.

It will be a while before we see someone with his spark on the sidelines. Thank you, Coach.

I saw a tweet that the team just heard this morning in a meeting. The tweet said the room was silent and shocked

No. Just no.

I’d be very surprised if he didn’t make a comeback. Seems like the type of guy who may need to hit the reset button once every 7-10 years to let his body recover from how intense he is. He is still young in the profession.

And you cannot tell me he feels like Drake/Smith had his back during the negative media onslaught.

We’ll see......I just think at 54 years young, he will 100% have the itch to get back into coaching. I don’t see how anyone could fault him if he re-emerges from retirement in a few years.

So sad to see him go. But, I trust his judgement wish him the best in all his endeavors. God knows he's earned it. He will always be one of the best coaches I have had the privilege to witness at Ohio State. Not to mention, he will leave giving Harbaugh the finger with no opportunity to beat him.

I do feel like the media may have a hand in this in one way or another @ the beginning of the season. Though none of us will ever know if this would've happened otherwise so I guess it's useless to place blame.

On a personal level....

I gotta make up a reason at work as to why I said to the "know it all" ALABAMA fan he was wrong about this on Saturday... He's the type who thinks he can go toe to toe with me on all things CFB-- esp Ohio State (example: Insisted we lost to VA Tech last year). Only thing he's gotten right all season is he thought Georgia might come close to beating Bama. Oh, his second favorite team? Florida. You know what that means.... the taunting, "this is exactly what we got.... blah blah blah fake health concerns"

I will avoid him like the plague but I know I will eventually be bombarded with "I TOLD YOU SO" over and over again.

Perhaps I will tell him I have a spy (or am one) who couldn't say anything Saturday. I can't wait for his douche-bagery.

I can't imagine him coming back from this, unless a new procedure comes about to quell the cyst.
