Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

Of course, there's no way to see inside the Meyer home to dissect every minor wince or grimmace without some kind of infrared heat-sensitive camera. So let's turn it on!

Now, this technology is new to me...but I'm pretty sure that's Urban Meyer in the oven, rotating slowly. His body temperature has risen to over 400 degrees - he's literally stewing in his own juices. Clearly he's about to retire.

I can’t speculate what Urban will do. I can only guess what I would do. And I’d definitely walk. No doubt about it.

Time is the most precious commodity we have. He’s one of the all time greats with an absurd winning percentage and 3 Nattys from 2 different schools. He has a major health issue and just went through a major scandal where his employer, the school he loves, just hung him out to dry.

Personally, I make a graceful exit and find another adventure. I mean, damn, is all the drama bullshit and risk to your health really worth it considering you have already won it all 3 times? For me it’s an easy decision.

“Adios muchachos. It’s been fun. Bartender, tall pour please!” There’s such incredible freedom in that to me.

Yeah I would walk too. He's won 3 titles, numerous other conference titles, and he's given it everything he has. As you said time is everything and with his stressful occupation I wouldn't blame him one bit. I said earlier this season he would retire (when he dropped to one knee) and I really think he will.

With that said the only thing that may keep him here is pride. If he leaves everyone will be saying "i told you so" or "see he must be guilty and he wants to avoid trouble" which includes Brett McCleveland steamer. I can only imagine what that POS will write if UFM does hang up the whistle.

Lots of smoke on this and you just have to hope we can send UFM out right.

The one thing I ABSOLUTELY do not want though is for UFM to stick around for 1 more year and have this team go Florida 2009 on us. He's got to be 100% committed and if he can't do that he should retire and enjoy his grand kids

I can’t say I’m not in the same boat as you two, but I don’t think Urban (or most D1 coaches) is wired the same way as we are. Despite him saying he doesn’t want to coach forever, he seems to me like the type of person who is perpetually one step away from being satisfied. I don’t see him leaving prior to the end of his contract for any reason other than health.

The only thing I’ve noticed that would be the slightest indication that might be considering retirement is that he’s not recruiting with the same fire and intensity this year since he came back from suspension.

His sideline demeanor is pretty typical so I have no idea why people are reading into that.

It’s the recruiting part that has me mildly thinking he’s done. Urban has always recruited like a mad man. Just not seeing that this year.

Maybe he still is but the results aren't there BC OF ALL THE OUTSIDE NOISE AND RETIREMENT SPECULATION.

I think the biggest thing that can derail a recruiting class is change at the HC position. Maybe kids are just waiting longer to see what happens with the rest of the season.

Their entire season has been filled with drama. On the field and off. Stability at the coaching positions could solidify this class or we could limp home. Even '20 class momentum has slowed. Hope we finish strong, silence the doubters again, he comes back, and we keep rollin' along.

Your camera's broken. The entire inside of the oven should appear lit up, and the turkey should be the darkest part.

I just haven’t seen this “different” urban some are seeing. Maybe I’m not watching close enough but I thinks it’s made up BS to get viewers.

I just don’t see him hanging it up yet. Maybe it’s my wishful thinking because it will be a sad damn day in OSU land when he does.

I think you're right. He's being painted as a whipped dog and a loser. That is not Urban Meyer.

This I will say......tOSU has proven to be extremely coach-unfriendly. If he does leave, pity the poor bastard that replaces him.

Living here in Florida all I hear from Gator fans is about "Urban The Liar. It all stems from when he stepped down as the head coach of Florida because of health reasons. This season has been a very tough one because of all the BS that is going down.

I hope he stays around for as long as he can. No one can say what assistant coaches will be let go. I am not one to make any predictions or judgements at this time. But I would not be surprised if coaching changes will come around during the 2019.

Ohio State has gone thru a lot of injuries this season. And the "Next man up" did not pan out as many of us have seen. If we can beat Florida and win the BIG ten championship then it will be all good again. Lets hope so.

Too much is being made of this arachnoid cyst. It is congenital and he has lived with it his entire life. People didn't even know he had it drained in his first years at Ohio State. They are also finding new ways to do surgery that really reduce its effects. Urban Meyer is being seen by top doctors at one of the top medical schools in the world. He will be fine.

And, before everyone points to the first three games, remember that his first statements after he came back concerned the high number of injuries and the difficulty of those opponents is now seen very differently. Urban Meyer will be fine.

You do realize that infrared camera is blue?

I wouldn't trust its results to be unbiased.
