Because Mark May blew 5 guys there.I had this discussion with. PITT friend of mine. Why wouldn’t PITT (insert whatever team you want) go in and offer urban around 20 million a year.

"To say I don't think about it, it's every day. It would have to be the perfect situation... I think I'm done, but I would never say, 'I'm never done.'"
I don't blame him for taking a call or considering options when they come across his desk. I'll believe it when I see it though. If Ohio State was too stressful for his health, working 90+ hours a week as an NFL head coach probably isn't going to improve his condition.Sources: NFL teams ask Urban Meyer about interest in return to coaching
At least two NFL teams have reached out to Urban Meyer to see whether the former Ohio State coach would be interested in interviewing for -- if not accepting -- a head-coaching job at the next level, league sources told ESPN.
Meyer, according to a source connected to one of those teams, did not dismiss the overtures and is considering whether to make the jump to the NFL. He intends to decide in the next week, before the NFL regular season is over, and teams expect to hear his decision in the coming days.

Sources who have spoken to Meyer believe he wants to make sure that, if he decides to make the jump to the NFL, he is prepared to fully immerse himself in a new world.

Not to mention all the games he's going to lose. If he couldn't handle losing in college how would he handle losing at a minimum 5 games per year???I don't blame him for taking a call or considering options when they come across his desk. And losing his biggest advantage, recruiting. Not to mention all the games he's going to lose. If he couldn't handle losing in college how would he handle losing at a minimum 5 games per year???
Carroll too!I wonder if Urban sees a guy like Carol being successful in both college and the Pros and wants to see if he can do that as well. It took Carol two tries though.
It's the ultimate legacy move and probably the only chance he has at one upping Saban at this point. So the competitor in him probably loves it from that angle. Also it keeps him from potentially poaching Mariotti etc if he does go coach so that's a win for us as well.I wonder if Urban sees a guy like Carol being successful in both college and the Pros and wants to see if he can do that as well. Just sayin': Yeah, recruiting is one of his big advantages. I have to think that if Urban still had any serious interest to coaching he'd (in this order)...
1. Have stayed at Ohio State.
2. Accepted the offer from USC or Texas.
3. Look for an NFL job.
I'm thinking that he's just listening to offers only to see what he's worth and to increase his bargaining power with Fox Sports when his contract is up. In addition, the news of colleges and NFL teams pursuing him, strengthens his image and credibility as an EXPERT FOOTBALL ANALYST on the Fox Sports show. I mean which one of these guys on ESPN's Game Day show would you say actually knows more about football than Urban does?
