Texas earned their respect on this board, far as I'm concerned. Texas had every right to "whine" about not getting respect nationally... or did you not see the "USC is the greatest of all time" bullshit we had to endure for a month?

It shows that the Pac-10 is nowhere near as great as everyone thinks, and Texas played their asses off, and they deserved the victory.

As for Leinart, his remarks were pretty classless and disrespectful, but the guy was probably caught up in the moment, and had only lost one game in his career before tonight. It also probably hurt a lot because it was his final game as a Trojan, and they had that 34 game winning streak on the line (and must I say that it was the national championship?).

Leinart's comments were not acceptable, in the least, but it was a very emotional night for the guy, and I'm sure this will be a lesson that he will learn, and carry with him to the next level.

What a piece of shit when Matt Leinhart said that I still think we are the better team after they lost. I am sorry at this level whether you believe it or not you have to say the right things. That is the kicker on everything I hate about USC...

A lot of people think that great, high-powering offenses like USC are going to come into games and roll. Well, as any Buckeye fan knows; defense wins championships. You can say all that you want about teams like this, but most of us Buckeye fans were right... USC's defense was suspect, and it was exposed when it counted the most.

OK, sorry. I'm not reading the last five pages. I'm drunk...so...Great job Texas...I got so sick of the "greatest of all time" bullshit. Jeezus, let's wait til the game is over first for pete carroll's sake...:biggrin: Loved every minute of this game. And a 4th down game winning TD by the freak of nature QB Vince Young, well...Beautiful...Hook 'em til next September, then, well, don't hook 'em so much anymore...:lol:
