And Ribery and Robben on the wings, and Lahm for that matter... it's a lot of firepower.

The defense on the other hand is suspect, and the guys listed above know it...

Both defenses are going to be suspect in the Final. If David Luiz is healthy, that's huge for Chelsea, but they don't have John Terry. Is Ivanovic healthy?

Ivanovic is out of the final due to yellow accumulation, along with Ramires and Meireles. Terry is out due to the red vs Barca.

Yeah, I know, but, that Bayern will be aggressive is kind of a no brainer. My point was more that Chelsea circling the wagons with a goal lead mght be inviting disaster. (ie, you expose your defensive weakness without exploiting your oppositions) More to the point, one goal won't be safe in this game.

I can see this game easily being a 4-3, 5-4 type final score. Just has that feel to me.

An early preview for next years edition. Teams already in:

England: Manchester City, Manchester United
Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia
Italy: Juventus, AC Milan
Germany: Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Schalke 04
Holland: Ajax
Portugal: FC Porto, Benfica
Greece: Olympiakos
Turkey: Galatasaray
Ukraine: Shakhtar Donetsk
Russia: Zenit St Petersburg

There are still four spots guaranteed spots up for grabs: 3rd place in EPL, 1st & 2nd in France & 1st in Denmark as well as Chelsea if they win the Final.

Plenty of old regulars in the qualifying rounds as well...Fenerbache, Anderlecht, Lille, Celtic, Braga, Feyenoord...should be another good tournament.

Dynamo Kiev, FC Basel, Dinamo Zagreb, Club Brugge are some old regulars in the qualifying rounds as well.

Borussia Monchengladbach, who was a German powerhouse back in the 70's is in the qualifying round as well. Udinese is hoping to make it out of qualifying round as well after last years heartbreak against Arsenal. Malaga will be making there first ever appearance in the qualifying round after a big money influx last summer saw them finish 4th in La Liga this season.

PSG are automatically in & with a summer spending spree on the loom, I'd look for them to make some sort of impact in next years edition. Montpellier are automatically in as well out of France and if they can keep all of there key components from this seasons team, they could make it difficult for some of Europe's bigger clubs.
