There is also a lack of talent on this team.

The linebackers just aren't very good and the coaching they are receiving can't help that.

But it's also the schemes. I know some football and I just can't figure out why the DBs are playing UAB receivers like they are Randy Moss and Jerry Rice. Get up in their face and put some pressure on the qb to actually make a throw. You have a defense that can't tackle yet you are predicating your whole scheme on allowing the catch and making the sure tackle. Just don't get it.

I'm not sure what they're doing in practice, but the Winner/Loser drills don't teach tackling. They've got to go and they need to practice actually wrapping a guy up.

I wouldn't say they flat out suck... But some major improvements in the tackling, and game-planning dept. are in store.

The 3-man rush on 3rd and 17 isn't working.

The tackling is still the main issue I'm seeing.

That being said, the defense has surrendered 9 points total. The offense just can't seem to get any kind of continuity going, and it's effecting the entire team.

Offense is impressive if the coaches put them back in the hurryup and let them play. Athletes are being held back. Keep the D on their heels like the end of the 1st half and we get 21points. Playing slow, controlled football isn't what this team does right now. Keep the tempo up!!!! I don't get it.

It has been this way since game 1 and they just keep doing it.
