I must be honest...this isn't just the worst tackling OSU team that I've seen in my 35+ years of watching Ohio State football...it is one of the worst tackling teams I've seen in all of college football at the D1 top 50 level I've ever seen. They simply have no desire to wrap up and drive the ball carrier to the ground...they hit, grab and throw...WTF????? :(

The linebackers just aren't very good and the coaching they are receiving can't help that.

But it's also the schemes. I know some football and I just can't figure out why the DBs are playing UAB receivers like they are Randy Moss and Jerry Rice. Get up in their face and put some pressure on the qb to actually make a throw. You have a defense that can't tackle yet you are predicating your whole scheme on allowing the catch and making the sure tackle. Just don't get it.

I hope the coaches sit these guys down and explain that if the entire defensive line gets by their blocker, it's not because you are all really good at rushing the passer. There is a pretty good chance they are throwing a screen. Ya might want to do something about that instead of continuing to rush the QB or sit back in coverage waiting for the OL to come block you. Maybe Nate Williams can help since he is the only one all game that figured out the screen pass.
