If Ty was fired, then he is the first ND coached to be fired. All other coaches at ND have not been retained when their contract expired. Will be intersting to find out whether or not he was fired or he resigned.

As I said earlier in this thread, Ty is the first ND head football coach to not be allowed to serve out his first full contract term. He's not the first ND football coach to be fired, just the first one to not last the time period of the initial contract.
