i heard as always that they are looking at bob stoops. its a running joke here that everytime there is any kind of job opening that he is considered. i think the 6th & 7th grade fitch falcons girls soccer team has contacted him.

Press conference scheduled for ND at 4:00 p.m. Eastern.

Kind of anti-clamactic at this point.

Tirico also pointed out that there are now only 2 African-American head coached in Div-1A. It was 5 at the start of the season. That angle will get a lot of play until a couple more minority coaches are hired.

Hey i'm glad the info helped establish us as a respectable place to get info and i'll be sure to pass along information whenever i get it. Even though it was difficult for some to believe my posts before the news broke, hopefully from now on somebody will be able to take this info to the bank the next time i hear something worth reporting.

You heard it here first on buckeyeplanet.... take that ESPN! :tongue2:

If i remember correctly, only two or three of the coaches off of Davies' staff were kept when Willingham arrived a few years back...

So there's a good chance that the majority of the current coaches won't be back in South Bend next year.

By moves I assume at least contacting him to see if he is interested. That would be a big blow to usc. Cal coming on, UW getting some stability and Stanford having Chow. USC's cake-ride to Cali recruiting and Pac 10 titles wouldbe over.

How long until Urban/Utah release a statement to put out some of the fires?

"I am focused on leading Utah to its first, and the conferences first, BCS bowl berth and have not been contacted".

Maybe ESPN will announce his hiring at halftime of the Utes' game ... that is their schtick, isn't it?
