Steve Deace. He was a contributor to the tsun scout paysite back in the Tom Beaver days. Always provided a more unbiased alternative to the rainbows & lollipops crap Beav and Sam Webb were selling. Basically wasn’t afraid to call it like he sees it in the face of Beav-minions and the Walmart Wolverine contingent. He had a falling out with either Beav or Webb towards the end of the Hoke era because he was deemed too negative. I wanna say it was in the aftermath of the Suga Shane concussion fiasco. He’s a goofy bastard, but unlike most of their unwashed fan base, he actually appears to know his shit. I’ve come to enjoy his podcasts, too.

Here is the beauty of what Day has done.
The faithful are saying that Harbaugh will now go out and hire even better coaches to replace what he has lost. Maybe last year or the year before he could have pulled that off.
But the man doing the hiring is one with a reputation for wearing out his welcome after 4 years.
That reputation is supported by four players passing on a bowl game.
Players with low draft prospects leaving early for the NFL.
Players with clear shots at becoming starters transferring.
And now coaches leaving to join your rival.
Someone will take the jobs in Ann Arbor. The money will make sure of that.
But quality coaches. Coaches with alternatives. They are going to do a lot of thinking first.

So, I'm looking at the common data sets for the two schools. If we lopped off the bottom thousand students and shrunk our freshmen classes down to slightly over 6K, we would pass them by in all admission metrics: SAT, ACT and class rank. Just one more thing to take from them after football, hockey and Olympic Sports.
