They truly never learn.

With quarterback Shea Patterson, four starting offensive linemen and several skill players who only scratched the surface of their potential this year returning, the Wolverines should be in good hands on offense. But the nation’s No. 1 defense allowed 103 points in its last two games, both blowout losses to Ohio State and Florida, and with leaders Devin Bush, Rashan Gary and Chase Winovich departing, respected coordinator Don Brown will be asked to work his magic in 2019.

Building on this, it seems like every single year when preseason prognostications come out, inevitably a majority of them include tsun somewhere in the top-10 with people listing them as a "NC Sleeper" or "break out team." Every single year. Guess how many times they've finished inside the top-10 since finishing #8 in 2006? ZERO...unless you count exactly #10 in 2016. In the last 12 years, they've finished unranked 7 times. The other years: 12, 24, 12, 10. This year they finished 14. They are the definition of a middling, underachieving, overhyped program.

It is truly amazing. I mean, we're biased against them and capable of group think toward them, but even our most outrageous predictions of doom are closer to the truth than what the media annually predicts. I'll concede that this year it almost looked like the media would be right and we would be wrong until they Coopered it at the end, but that was still more a function of Wisconsin and PSU being grossly overrated (I was right about that preseason) and MSU also being overrated (I was wrong about that preseason and thought they'd be significantly better than they were) than reality

I'd argue that their fast start in 2016, 10-0 going into Iowa before losing their last 3 was more impressive. Bottom line, I don't necessarily see any Hoke 2014-like implosions, but I truly believe 10-3 is their ceiling. Most schools would be thrilled with that. But the dfbia, with their 1/2 title since the invention of the forward pass thinks they should still be a national power. In the construct of today's CFB world, with a limited local recruiting base and a national power locking down the borders to there nearest fertile recruiting grown, they just don't have it.

So they roast on Ohio State for having coaches with "questionable morals"..........yet want to bring back the guy who recklessly oversaw a players death. Niiiiiiiiiice.

Didn't they both kinda oversee a near death of a player on the field?

Evidence 1: Oh Goodness...

Evidence 2: He can barely stand. They just have to take him out of the ballgame.

18-10 in their last 28.
