Michigan's 2020 class has commitments from just 4 in-state players, and just 2 more from the region (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania).

It has 13 commitments from the east coast (Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia) and 5 from the southwest and west (Texas, Colorado, Arizona, California, Hawaii).

I know that everyone recruits nationally these days, but how many head coaches virtually ignore their home state and region? Michigan has traditionally recruited well in Ohio, Chicago, and Pittsburgh, but Harbaugh has had little to no success in those places. Weird.
Two members of his coaching staff are there almost exclusively for their HS/recruiting connections to NJ.

This.

DFBIA gonna DFBIA. The only statement that they can make against Rutgers is a bad one.

Beat Rutgers 110-0 and it’s not a statement.

Dumbasses.

Yep. Sadly Rutgers is likely bad enough to make scUM look ok. Even if scUM is playing converted safties on the Dline. That Rutgers offense struggles not to stumble over itself against anyone with a pulse

It’s not entirely a bad thing if these dumbasses somehow convince themselves they’re good. See: last year.

They get players from NJ.......just not the elite ones

From NJ in the 2020 class they currently have the #5, #8, #14 rated players in the state

by comparison, Ohio State, without said 2 coaches just for that purpose. Currently holds the #1 and #3 players

Their 2019 class had 1 player from NJ, who was ranked 7th in the state and 314th nationally.

What studs from that state have they really landed? Besides Gary?

Can anyone tell me of a coach who turned a program around after the five year mark? I guess Mack Brown if you consider Texas' run started in 2004. Nobody else comes to mind. The statement season always happens in the first three years.

Off the top of my head I can only think of two. Schiano's break through year at Rutgers was in Year 6, and Frank Beamer at Va Tech was in Year 7.

His best shot was in '16 but he choked away his last 3 games and then lost 12(?) draft picks. Not looking like he'll ever recruit well enough to have that kind of talent to work with again.

Ironically his best talent is probably at WR......which is unable to be showcased due to a bad oline and lack of QB whispering. I'm sure 1 of 2 of those guys may have somewhat decent NFL careers though once they are able to get out of that mess.

Jabrill Peppers. How soon you forget such greatness!

(I know he was Hoke's recruit, but I just had to take a shot at him)

Juwan Bushell-Beaty was another Chris Partridge special.

And how could we forget about Kareem Walker!

Clearly you don’t understand. 65 million wins over Michigan wouldn’t be enough for them. They’ll never not be obsessed with Michigan. They’ll never not be focused on Michigan.

I'll hand it to this cocksucker; he's not wrong. 65 million wins would not be enough for me. Unless they quit before then.
