Thrice.

scUM Minister of Propaganda, John Ü Bacon, is still whining about the 1974 Game - he claims that Mike Shanktry's final FG attempt was good, but "those refs knew where they were reffing, they were reffing in Columbus that day, and that mattered."

I was in the end zone that day, directly in line with the goal post and the holder's spot. I honestly believe I was the first one to scream "It's wide!!" shortly after Lantry kicked it. It was off-line and didn't swerve toward the goal post. Anybody thinking that FG was good is a total Vulvarine conspiracy theorist idiot.

Side note: since that miss kept the final score at 12-10, the Buckeyes proved that day that it's possible to only score with field goals and beat an opponent that scored a touchdown.

I smiled when I read LJB’s post, because I knew you’d be posting this again. Vulvarines can dismiss your testimony all they want, but to me this is dispositive proof of a legitimate championship in Archie Griffin’s first Heisman season. I’d give it a GPA every time you post it if I could.

So you're not one of the legion of Ohio State fans who [allegedly] wrote letters to Shanktry and Schembechler admitting that the kick was really good?

I agree completely with everything you said except for the bolded part. I was directly behind the upright and am quite certain I was the first to scream, "It's wide!" I am 100% certain I was the first one to hug the young lady next to me (who I had never seen before that day) and pick her up.
