One of their best commits in the '18 class, and a player at a position of serious need, OL Emil Ekiyor (4*, #105 247 Composite) is apparently on the verge of de-committing. Rough couple of weeks for the weasels.

I always love these posts:

Yeah, no way he came to that conclusion by actually, you know, watching the games. Some message board bastards got to him!

I'd rather not see him end up at Bama, but.....ah fuck it.....if it's bad for scUM it's is good enough for me.

Because the Alabama offense
if it's known for anything, its for creativity.

Seriously?
No, if Alabama's known for anything, it's for kicking the shit out of everybody in America, being the dominant program in their era, mailing in SEC championships and being a mainstay in the College Football Playoff. And their offense is averaging 43 points per game, good for 6th in the entire damn country right now while we f**k around and squander games like MSU and Iowa because we can't even scratch together two touchdowns.

You don't think Alabama is creative? And that's why you would pick Michigan over Alabama? Solely based on offensive creativity?

So what do you call running power behind 2 TEs into a mass of humanity for 2 yards per carry and passing for 58 yards against Indiana? Does our offense look creative to you? I can't imagine Ekiyor gives two shits about "creativity", but if he did, I can't name a less creative offense then ours right now.

Few things warm my heart quite like seeing scUM posters turning on eachother.:rofl::rofl:

You think this guy is upset? I rewatched the game last night. They were within two scores and had the ball late in the third quarter and then they just cratered.

According to 247, Ekiyor is scUM's top commitment (worth 25.13 points).

scUM's 2018 class currently has 15 recruits. The class is ranked #13 overall with 225.93 total points.

Take Ekiyor out of the class and it drops to #23 overall with 200.80 total points.

And they're not really in on anybody else in the top-100. This is exactly the kind of class they're blaming so many of their issues this season on (their 2015 class).

Only a botched XP kept them from being tied up until the last minute of the first half. Hell, the Pedsters didn't even jump back out to a two-score lead (28-13) until just over five minutes left in the third quester. This tells me two things: 1.) scUM will fold late in the game against higher competition, and 2.) The Pedsters let a shit team hang with them for nearly three quarters, during "White Out", in a prime-time revenge game they had circled for a year. Just looking at this makes me feel much better about this Saturday and about Nov 25th.

Granted this is from Speight's parent's point of view, but if it's even half-true, that was some pretty shoddy handling of a potentially severe injury.

Speight’s father decries Purdue's handling of son’s injury

Some highlights:

[QUOTEI It’s not clear why Speight wasn’t transported directly to a hospital by ambulance. Instead, Wilton sat in the front seat of a van provided by Purdue and driven by a student.

“We take off with no escort,” Bobby Speight said. “We can’t get through because there are barricades up and (the van driver is) directing people to move them.” They reached the Purdue University Student Health Center and headed downstairs.

“They take us in the basement,” Bobby Speight said. “It’s very dimly lit. Halfway down the hall, there’s a (radiology) technician...The (van driver) says he needs an X-ray. (The technician) looks at me and says, ‘I need your insurance card.’...The Michigan doctors requested several X-rays... The technician was able to get the pictures, but transmission to a satellite facility failed, making it impossible for the Michigan doctors to examine the X-rays on a high-resolution screen. They thought they could miss diagnosing even the smallest of fractures on a lower-resolution version.

Michigan’s team doctors decided Speight should be transported to a local hospital, but the Purdue officials didn’t know which hospital to send them to. A volunteer rescue team was the only option available, as full-time EMS units were dispatched elsewhere, Speight said he was told.

“And we waited 20 minutes for the rescue squad team,” he said. “At that point, Wilton says he has tingling in his legs and is in substantial pain. The EMT riding in the back of the ambulance asks us if we need an IV or vital monitoring and Trinh replied, ‘No, but we need him stable and immobile. This is a back injury.’ We stop at a light, and the Michigan doctor asks how long is it going to take, and (the EMT) said 30 to 45 minutes on game day.

“Our doctor asked him, ‘Couldn’t we please turn on the siren and make better time?’ And (the rescue squad member) said, ‘Don’t you get smart with me. You said this is a non-vital trip.’[/QUOTE]

I wouldn't take my skunk weasel to a veterinarian who treated him this way.

Ahh yes, the "let's interview the parents many days after the event" to get the "real story".

Sorry, but I don't take Daddy Speight's outrage as genuine since he remained silent when his son's head coach downplayed the injury a week prior for "strategic advantage."

Reminds me of the Oakland A's player lying about the restaurant situation a few days ago only to bring attention to himself.
