ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

I would take the job, then immediately install the single wing offense, the innovative 1-9-1 defense, and stop recruiting any players over 150 pounds.

"Son, I like the cut of your jib. I'd like to try you out at defensive end."
"But I'm a punter."
"Balderdash! Get down there and show me you're the player I know you can be."

I remember that I used to play the NCAA football games on PS2. And I used to sabotage other teams in dynasty mode(usually in the SEC). I'd take control of them in the offseason, switch everyone to punter, and then give control back to the computer. Later, I'd check out that team and see that they've already cut all the punters they don't want and replaced them with walk-ons at the other positions. I'd love to do that to a real team.

For a 7 figure income I would take the job, and can truthfully say I would not intentionally sabotage the program. Of course, the fact I have not coached football at any level might limit my success. And the fact I would spend more time fishing than actually recruiting or coaching might have a negative impact. Not to mention me openly rooting for tOSU might have a slightly negative affect on team moral. But I wouldn't intentionally sabotage them.
Would be nice to see a guy doing the Urban Meyer punch out from the opposite sideline when we score.

Modest success at Stanford, in a weakish conference & with the best college QB since Peyton Manning. Some success in the NFL, but had one of the most talented rosters in the league and aside from the super bowl season, basically underachieved. All this while being a complete tool.

Sounds like the perfect to lead the weasels.

Is he a step up from Flintstone? Maybe. Remember, a lot of people thought Flintstone was a step up from DickRod and look how that turned out.

I'll give him 4 years at scUM - tops. Then I look for Jerruh to write him a big, fat check to come on down to Dallas to run the Cowboys.......He will leave scUM 0-4 against tOSU and have zero conference championships. He will take them to 3 mid level bowl games though.....

Meh. I'd be surprised if it isn't 4 bowl games. But I agree that none will be "BCS" bowl games. (What are those magic 6 bowl games called now?)

The joke is actually on us. Fred made millions just clapping his hands.
Bullshit. He also had to eat lots and lots of barbecue.
