ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

Never played a football analyst on tv, so let's see if I got this straight. You gotta guess that MSU is going to be coming hard and they did. The center low snaps it, damned neared bounced it in. There are 6-7 white jerseys around the punter when it went sideways. Only like 2 blue jerseys in the freight train to the end zone. And it's all on the punter?

Easier than calling out his manball offense for not being able to pick up the first down that would have iced it or his decision to punt instead of go for it at midfield with 10 seconds left

Let's just be thankful it wasn't Gus Johnson calling the game. No doubt in my mind, he would've died trying to call that last play.

Was at the Shoe for the PSU game. Was watching warm ups and keeping track of score updates on the Jumbotron and saw it was 23-21 scUM with 10 seconds to go. Went to some other scores and then some ads etc. on the Jumbotron. Was talking to the guys around me and I get a text from my sister in Wyoming and all it says is"bwahahaha, way to go Sparty ". I tell everyone something just happened in AA, just got a weird text. Everyone is asking me what happened and to text her and find out. As I am trying to do that the Jumbotron goes off for a few seconds and then the last play in AA comes on the screen and is then replayed 4 or 5 times in a row. A huge cheer goes up from the crowd all 5 times the play is shown. People are going nuts, high fivieing and cheering. Guy in front of me says he has a friend who is a big scUM fan and wonders how he is taking it. I said to him tell your friend the ending to that game is proof that God hates scUM. They ended with about a 15 second still shot of the scUM fan with both his hands on his head, mouth agape. Much hilarity ensued.

Even better...Michigan sent 4 players to cover the punt. FOUR. On a punt that Michigan State wasn't fielding.

Four.

and fuck any supposed "fans" that were attacking the punter on social media. Fuck them in their stupid faces.

I'm one of those Buckeye fans who says "Fuck Michigan" whenever the opportunity presents itself. But I'm also a college athletics fan who thinks college sports is one of the great ways for young people to grow in ways they could not otherwise do. So even though I'm a Buckeye fan, I'm also a fan of the young men who play for the Michigan Wolverines. Hard to understand? Deal with it.

Fuck anyone who berates college athletes, regardless of what their rooting interests are.

Even the Detroit Free Press is railing on Harbaugh:

That's why it was disappointing that Harbaugh came across as a poor sport afterwards, crying about what he thought was officiating strongly tilted against the Wolverines. Instead, he should've pointed an accusatory finger at himself for calling a punt on the last play. Why even take the chance in that situation? Run the ball on fourth down and take a few more seconds off the clock, leaving Michigan State with no other option than attempt a Hail Mary on the final play.

But instead of blaming himself, Harbaugh blamed the referees.

It wasn't a good look.

The Big Ten might want to discuss that opinion with Harbaugh a little further Sunday considering it's strictly against league protocol for head coaches to criticize officials. Let's see if the Big Ten has the backbone to reprimand the man brought back to college football this season to save Michigan as well as the Big Ten from itself.

Watched the play a few times and even if the punter gets a good snap and "attempts" a punt there was a very good chance it would have been blocked. Obviously MSU was not worried about roughing the punter as they had nothing to lose.

Indeed, watch the play again and see that there were at least (7) MSU players that had a chance to block a punt which never occurred. They went through the line like nobody was there. Quoting George C. Scott in Patton ~ Like crap through a goose!

>

Or you could watch the play again just because.

Yea, there were about (4) MSU players surrounding the punter in a little over a second using my stop watch. :jt: would not be happy with Harbaugh's special teams. :hoke:
