ttun recruiting (all classes)

ehh...he had offers from Bama, Oregon, Ped State, etc....it is a fairly impressive offer sheet...

Yeah, but we all know there are offers and then there are OFFERS. I doubt that Bama or Oregon would allow for him to commit right now. Ped St probably would as the best RB in PA committed to OSU. I think he was closer to leaning to a school like Texas Tech, Miss St, Arizona or Houston if he didn't commit to scUM

FWIW I do too, but in the end, an offer sheet is an offer sheet.

The rest is just inference.

Yea some schools carpet bomb offers so they have a lot more options in the end if they end up whiffing on their top choices. He likely was a bit down the line on priority for Bama & Oregon.

It's just funny because they acted like Alford was gonna come in and bring in higher on the food chain RBs he was recruiting at Ohio State with him (Jackson & Davison especially)

In the end, scUM is still recruiting more like Minnesota or Wisconsin rather than a team that just won the CFP. And that might even be giving them too much credit.

Going to be real interesting to see how this new coaching staff works out, think they definitely slide back to a Pre 2021 Harbaugh level ceiling, but the floor is much lower now as well.

All that success the last 3 years and theyve only parlayed it into meh recruiting (when compared to the top dogs)

I know I know "they've won with lesser recruits!" but that's really not sustainable on a national title contender level forever. Especially with the 12 team playoff now. They might make the playoff somewhat frequently, but besides maybe a storm of perfect circumstances maybe like once in every great while its going to be hard for a team that operates like Michigan to be a real true threat to ever win it all again.

Alford being Alford
Im sure he’ll sell the fanbase on being able to get a RB from IMG. But a Little research shows a kid who was injured due to his knee all last season and missed their annual spring showcase as well. So he has no film at all to go by…
