ttun recruiting (all classes)

They’re not abiding by the 85 scholarship limit by paying for all transfers through NIL and not putting them on scholarship (which, again, you’d think the NCAA would want to do something about since it’s clearly against the spirit and intention of that rule), so their recruiting philosophy seems to be getting as many bodies as possible in the pipeline and processing them until (they hope) they find a few starters.

As you said, the COVID year (and cheating their way out of the 85 scholarship limit) was hugely beneficial to that process, but now we can all hope it comes crashing back to earth.
I hadn't heard anything about that. Is this factual?

Of course there’s no coverage of it from their official outlets because they’re all part of the ministry of propaganda, but yes, it’s very true.

SCHOLARSHIP WEIRDNESS: We've stopped caring about the 85-man limit since NIL is able to effectively take care of anyone not on scholarship.

Ehhh there's always been ways to keep guys (gray shirts, non-scholarship guys, etc) on the "roster" without being counted against the 85 man limit. Not sure if there are rules that limit it in the pre-NIL days.

scUM is losing 44 dudes from their roster. Do the math, it ain't mathin...

Unless things have changed, you can have them on the roster but once they hit the field beyond a certain threshold they go on scholarship.

I don’t think they want to compare DB classes…

I mean, I don't want to dog on Galloway. Kid would love to be at Ohio State and is a good player. But he's not close to getting into this DB class...the staff is right on that one.

Many years he would be in, but not in this cycle. I wish him the best of luck anywhere not named Ann Arbor.
