ttun recruiting (all classes)

Does TTUN have a analyst similar to Kurilic and Birmingham? I keep getting news blurbs that always seems surprised that some recruit chose to go someplace else and there was some belief that they were in the lead.

Are their analyst's that bad, or are they just afraid to not share things that not rosy.

It's a combination I think. Anyone who doesn't bow down to the M gets shunned.

They have Sam Webb and EJ Holland that would be comparable. And then you have James Yoder who is an insider who hates the other 2 guys and enjoys drama with them.
But they don’t seem to be realistic in their analysis. They seem to be primarily looking for subscribers and not giving honest info. Guys like Birm, Givler, Austin Ward, BG, AG all will be honest when they think OSU can’t land a kid. Outside of last year’s madness with NIL they’ve been pretty accurate And forthright with their opinions.

Case in point: a kid who will probably end up anywhere but TTUN, but he has a tee shirt on so let's get excited about nothing.

Everything I’ve read says Alabama is a strong contender or even favorite in his recruitment, so the Jameson Williams connection would counterbalance any positive from the t-shirt to me.

A roundup of some stupidity:

Don't think Harbaugh or anyone is saying this anymore. But of course all programs in this era are "transactional" but some seem to lean heavy on this whilst others like UM seem to be consciously trying to strike a balance of both that maintains some locker room stability (culture). In other words don't just roll up w your agent trying to leverage the last teams "offer". UM clearly isn't interested in bidding wars. And with the lack of contracts and lack of transparency I don't blame them.
This one is funny to me because they still have ten players to process to get under their scholarship limit—I’m sure that’s going to result in sunshine and rainbows in the locker room. Just like the yearly booster paid vacations, and the satellite camps in the south, Harbaugh and company are trying their best to find advantages (one could say cheat, as they accuse everyone else of doing), they are just terrible at it, so they pretend like it’s a moral choice when they fail.

It’s also humorous how oblivious they are to the reality of Ohio State recruiting, who actually is striking the balance of NIL and locker room chemistry—last year resulted in failing to close on the big prospects down the stretch, but things have seemingly been sorted out this year.

Terhyon Nichols to Kentucky
What other ones from the last few days am I missing?

Robinson going to Kentucky. Others not coming too I think.
Wonder why we can never close deals on visit weekends. Seems less and less frequent

“Going into the visit, my fam was heavily set on Michigan. Throughout the (Ohio State) visit they were really still set on Michigan. But towards the end of it, coach Johnson sat us down & went over an in depth plan that they had for me.”
lol "in depth plan" means gave him a huge bag of cash. I'm sure one little convo at the end of a visit would totally completely flip one's opinion. Johnson's "plan" hasn't worked for anyone since Chase Young
When your opinion is so stupid it is immediately shut down by one of your own.

Johnson has three guys being mocked in the first round of next year’s draft. Mike Hall, Jack Sawyer, and Jaylin Tuimoloau. He’s elite, his track record speaks for itself, and Penn State should’ve done whatever was necessary to keep him.
People keep talking about $ like it’s still illegal. It’s not. If we want a top five recruiting class, we will have to buy it like everyone else. If we don’t, then this year is probably our last real shot at a national title. We might be able to knock off OSU with less talent, but we’re probably going to have to beat the top two SEC teams that are loaded with five stars once the playoffs expand to win a title and I just don’t know if we will have the depth to win 3-4 games in a row against superior talent.
The great debate about their development of underrated players rages.

People keep making this statement like we aren’t 3-15 and didn’t get dunked on by Georgia in the playoffs. Recruiting matters, our best players are almost exclusively our top 100 recruits.

And they fall into the classic “if they’re starters we developed them” fallacy.

Sainristil, Rod Moore, Paige, Colson, Barrett, Jenkins, Harrell, Wilson, Loveland, C. Johnson and oh, yeah, Blake Corum would all say you’re wrong.

Does anyone care to go through this list of “stars”? Because I don’t know who the hell any of them are (other than Corum, who was 105 on rivals).

Only reason the last few recruiting misses feel bad is because they were in the positions we needed to have.
Oh, is that all?

As bad as this one is, I’m still more concerned over our lackluster corner recruiting. Aaron Scott is most likely going to commit to OSU and there is nobody else on our board at the position.

I read a TTUN article last week (I can't find it), where the writer said that TTUN can come in and take OSU's recruits after Day departs for the NFL, following the heat he gets for losing to TTUN again. LOL!!

Kind of a weird way to view things.

Going to be hilarious when Harbaugh flirts with the NFL again after DFBIA once again takes him at his word that he will "Never do it again!" and scUM is the one who actually once against takes the big recruiting hit for it.

I do worry about some of our crazy fans not overreacting if OSU loses this year to TTUN. With a new QB and OL holes, away against a TTUN with alot of returners is a distinct possibility.
