As is well documented I’m not a fan of Parker Fleming. Nothing against him but the dedicated ST coach.
I would show him this and give him the option of moving on or taking a demotion to an analyst role. Not like he would be missed recruiting.
This might of been a TD.

I saw this in the game and thought Mirco might be running left on that because he has to jump back right to make the catch. Sumbitch that hole was wiiiiiiiiiiide open

Edit: watch Rossi after its kicked. Arms out like WTF just happened? I raged in the game thread about focus and this is just another damned example.

I think part of that was their DBs were put in better positions than ours. They played two-deep zone a lot. CJ often had time but nowhere to go with it.

Knowles couldn't resist the urge to blitz a QB who hadn't shown the ability to go deep, giving him multiple chances to beat man coverage. Without Corum, I think it would've been more prudent to make JJ nickel and dime his way down the field. They didn't put together a drive like that until late in the third, but by then they had already hit three home runs.
Agreed on the nickel and dime approach It could also have led to bend but don’t break. UofM had a ton of red zone problems all year. I believe they were only tested twice Saturday and had a field goal and a touchdown from an end zone PI. That’s what was so frustrating about the big plays. I get that they were hellbent on not seeing 2021’s long TD drives again. But I don’t think we needed to be that aggressive this year.

So being up in C Deck without the announcers (and with a refusal to rewatch that game again), was Hayden hurt? Why on earth we were so insistent on running Chip nonstop was really what drove me insane. Obviously Henderson was out and seems like Miyan was limited, but I would have rode Hayden.

Day should have just kept the offense on the field on 4th and 4 anyway.

Drive started at the 50 I think after a fair catch on a short punt. Lots of momentum. There was the Holding + Personal Foul…then a wasted run play while Day tried to unscramble his brain. But then the Bucks hit 13 and 14 yard pass plays down to the Michigan 44. Down 24-20…Michigan was reeling. A chance to give his team a winning moment, seize the game.

He sent the punt team, there was a snap infraction and then they booted it (or mismanaged a Fake call). I think this was one of the punts they should have downed but botched that as well.

Mich went 15 plays 80 yards TD and didn’t look back at 31-20.
