whats pisses me off not so much the game .the ttun fan players planting flag around the stadium our players just standing not doing nothing

What pisses me off is watching our guys have every opportunity to stop them from doing it for 3 1/2 hours and not doing anything about it.

Don't want flags planted? Go win. Pretty simple.

No. But he also wasn't fired for that. Just saying no coach worth anything would want a job where you can't go 11-1 and have job security.

Going 11-1 isn't the same for every program. A lot of programs would hold a parade for going 11-1, but Ohio State is not like a lot of programs. Elite programs have big goals and make major investments in the program to achieve them - top end facilities, large recruiting budgets, and a highly-paid head coach, among other things.

We can debate the order of importance, but the goals at Ohio State are: beat TTUN, win the B1G, make the CFP, and win the championship. Obviously, you're not going to do all of those things every year, but Day is staring at 0-for-8 over the last two seasons.

Are those lofty expectations? Yes, and he's being paid about $10 million a year to meet them. I realize there's still a chance to make the CFP, but help is needed because two goals were not met. Any coach who takes the OSU job knows what is expected, including Ryan Day.

In 21 years, a time frame that spans 4 different head coaches who have lead, 3 of them winning, games against scUM in the Big House.

In that 21 years, I don't recall a single Buckeye player or assistant coach planting an tOSU flag on the block M.

Tress, Urban, Fickell and even Day along with the rest of the coaching staff, would never allow such a thing from our players.

How we conduct ourselves, not only after a loss but especially after a win, is the main difference between between these two programs for the better part of 3 decades. It also speaks to how we compose ourselves as individuals.

Harbaugh is the worst sort of loser, in that he whines like a bitch; and he's the worst sort of winner because he can't measure his words and conduct himself with a semblance of humility. A mentality bred into him as a scUM player. Back to back wins and the peak 90s level arrogance has already come out in full force with those fuckers. The players and coaches alike. It's absolutely insufferable already.

It cannot not be allowed to continue. Day & co. must find the formula between personnel, leadership and coaching in order to stem the turning of the tide.

Woody Hayes Ohioan No Ohio State connections, but made them what they are. 16-11-1 vs Michigan
Earle Bruce Non-Ohioan Ohio State connection (OSU player) 5-4 vs Michigan
Jon Cooper Non-Ohioan No Ohio State connections 2-10-1 vs Michigan
Jim Tressel Ohioan Ohio State connections (asst coach) 9-1 vs Michigan
Urban Meyer Ohioan Ohio State connections (asst coach) 7-0 vs Michigan
Ryan Day Non Ohioan Ohio State connection (asst coach) 1-2 vs Michigan

Look very closely at the above. What do you see? I see the non-Ohioans not doing as well as the Ohioans in The Game. It's not a small sample size, it's over 60 fucking years and 6 guys. And they were given time, 10 years per guy. Not surprisingly, the Non-Ohioan with no ties to OSU had the most abysmal record vs dUMb.

Now I'm not saying we MUST hire an Ohioan with ties to OSU, nor am I saying non-Ohians can't do well vs dUMb, but motherfucker, numbers are goddamned numbers. It just seems like they don't get it. I can't count how many motherfucking times after dUMb handed Cooper his ass that I said "OSU should have won that game". And now I've said it about Day. Cooper (and now Day) had rosters littered with 4 and 5 star recruits some of whom went on not only to star in the NFL but made the HOF! And what were the results? Getting drubbed by fucking dUMb. To add insult to injury this year we get "they are who we thought they were" and a flag plant.

Boys and Girls, we may be in hell right now. Can't fire a 11-1 coach even if he can't beat dUMb. No top candidate is taking a job where you go 11-1 and get fired after 2 years.

Day has to turn this bitch around. It isn't impossible. Tressel called out dUMb, took a 7-4 team to AA WITH a new QB and won. Meyer beat their ass after they went 6-6 the year before (and lost to dUMb).

One fucking thing I will GUARANTEE: If he doesn't turn this around he will be the most hated 11-1 coach in the history of organized sports.

That is why I said that our only hope is he feels what it's like to have the fanbase pissed off at him and he bolts for the NFL.

He isn't the guy and they'll never fire him unless we get to a much darker level of failure.

I have no doubt he'll take us down there so let's pray he gets the NFL bug.

Do you leave a job like OSU for an assistant job in the NFL? He isn't getting a head coaching job, I guaran-goddamn-tee it.

Paul Brown was the last coach to leave Ohio State voluntarily and that was to fight in WWII.

Let's hope to fuck you do. It's all we've got.
10 mil a year and a bazillion payout. Pretty sure he won't get that in the NFL. Definitely not as an assistant and he sure as hell isn't getting paid that as a first time head coach. His stock is not high right now.

Dude face it, we're in hell right now. The only hope is for him to turn it around.

Right now we've got a lot of really good players but that alone does not make a very good team. Ttun has a few good players but a much better team. Ttun did all the small shit they needed to do in order to win & tOSU didn't.

Bad penalties, dropped passes, blown assignments, missed blocks, missed tackles..... I don't know if it's a lack of focus, lack of preparation, playing tight, or overconfidence or what, but Day and the coaches better figure it soon.......

That's how I see it, too. I didn't see a lack of passion, a lack of want, or a ton of quit in this team. I saw a team that was trying too hard to make the perfect play and letting their emotions dictate the play -- throwing a ball too hard, jumping early on a snap, taking dumb unsportsmanlike penalties when they were fired up. Losing focus and losing the man in coverage. Too much energy and passion can be just as bad as not enough. There's a razor's edge that the coach needs to push his team to without pushing them over it.

I'm big on analogies as you all know...

We were Batman vs Bane when Batman got his ass kicked. Saw his target, got infuriated, started swinging for the knock out. Then got counter punched and it was over.

We have got to get it in our head that our games vs these guys will be 4 quarters. That it's going to suck physically and that we've got to keep swinging which means pacing yourself.
