I think that was last offseason.

After getting housed by your rival two in a row, this offseason is different. It's almost win or get fired for 2023 (even though Day is obviously not going to get fired prior to 2025 with that buyout ~ close to $45m if fired after 2023).
I think it deserved repeating, because obviously whatever was conceptualized in the off-season didn’t come to fruition.

The conundrum for Day is that he made changes, but they didn’t produce the desired outcome. Now he has to consider the why and does he believe he’s on the right track. Does he again make big changes or just tweaks.

But, you are right the seat got hotter and the spotlight brighter.

The thing that pisses me off the most is the wimpy state of this team. Where the fuck were all the Buckeye players when TTUN planted their flag at midfield. I saw one Buckeye player hang around during the flag planting bullshit and all he did was hug an opposing scum player. No pride whatsoever. Enough with this soft ass crap.

Eh I think the constant obsession with proving that they are tough and not soft was a big part of the downfall of this team.

We have talented linemen on both the offense. The two graduated OLinemen have started on Sunday. But we don’t have Line play that matches the talent. The OL penalties were taken advantage of by scUM. I don’t know what the DL game plan was?

So all I’m getting from reading boards etc from fans is that scum wanted it more and we didn’t. They coach up the 3 stars they have better than the constant 4/5 stars we have. Day needs to give up play calling. Stroud doesn’t get the magnitude of the game. I’m missing anything else. DB recruiting sucks etc. Just wanna make a list so this time next year I can go back and see what other things pop up if we lose.

I’m beginning to wonder if Larry is the guy anymore. He’s had a great career and he brings in talent, but is the line where it needs to be? Is it time to rip the band aid off?

If we’re going to play Knowles defense then maybe it’s time to bring in someone who knows that scheme. Same can be said of our secondary coaches in terms of are they the right guys.

Time for Larry for sure..why did we keep rushing so wide aswell JJ went inside everytime and made a play because our Defensive ends rushed to far up and wide.

as far as DBs…turn your head around for Christ sakes. Also tackling have been bad from the DBs particularly corner all year. Burke and sometimes brown. Jk got benched but Burke is allowed to not even try to tackle and not be physical at all when the ball is in the air.

Remember when Hafley was hired and at his first press conference the reporters specifically asked him if the DB's would turn their head in coverage?

Hafley said they would (that season).

I think it's just poor players, poor coaching and bad fundamentals.
The only thing I would disagree with here is the “poor players”. These guys were highly recruited players. I’m going to tend more towards the coaching.
