Game Thread tOSU vs. Sparty, B1G Championship Game, Sat 8 ET on FOX

Also, silver lining in this is that I think Elflein played well today. Thrown into the fire like that against M*ch*g*n and then MSU, he has built some great experience that should be valuable as the OL replaces four senior starters next season.

If Warinner is still their coach next season I have no worries about the OL, even with all of the fresh faces. Until we see otherwise I think he has earned the benefit of the doubt that who ever he puts out there is going play well.

I'm thinking Ball State or BGSU might be the destination, if Warinner wants a MAC job.

I think Tom Herman would wait for a job better than CUSA or AAC, but Ohio State might have to win a national title for that to happen. I think the UConn job is a really hard place to coach.

Well, now that Ohio State has lost during the Urban Meyer regime, at least the coaching staff (including Urban) can learn from it, grow and adjust.

He's never had to adjust after a loss at OSU yet.

One thing I'm torn about is playing younger players over seniors in the bowl (like Vonn Bell at safety). Not talking about subbing Carlos Hyde, linemen or the corners.

Took me a while to read everything here, on 70 East heading towards Columbus. I agree with most of what has been said about the offense tonight, I don't get how you go away from the best tailback in the country running behind one of the best lines in the country. The defense/special teams put you inside the Spartan 50 twice in the 4th quarter and we went away from what was working.

The safeties were beat 3 separate times for 6 points. How that's LF's fault, and not Withers (co-DC/SAFTIES!!1! coach) I don't know but whatever. I agree with most of you: FSU would pick this secondary apart in Pasadena.

Our band was better than theirs. So, we've got that going for us.

That takes me to the ONE thing that pissed me off tonight: I get the players were disappointed/upset/pissed after the clock struck 0:00 (yes, I stayed.. Why? Keep reading..) I watched our band play Carmen Ohio to a few students swaying back and forth, as MSU's band respectfully held off their celebration. Our team walked into the locker room with their heads hanging, and left the students and band high and dry.

That bummed me out. Big time. Losing my best friend this year helped put things in perspective, it's just a game. Not upset we lost, but that rubbed me wrong. No leaders after the clock ran out, coaches or players.

I think in this type of game you gotta let it go. It was Sparty's field at that point.
