I don't want to place all of the blame on the defense, since the horrific offensive playcalling through out most of the game robbed us of at least 14 more points, but...you gave up 458 yards and 34 points to an offense that fucking Purdue and pretty much everyone else with a defense with a pulse shut down.

Our defense has not improved one bit since Fickell took over. Time for him to go.

Sparty scored 14 points, at home, versus Purdue and one of those TDs was by their defense.

I'm just not sure this D will be that much better next year. I feel like there is a long way to go with the D since they will be breaking in two new safeties next year and Roby is gone. Shazier is also likely gone. I'm not exactly feeling optimistic for the D next year.

Fickell or Not to have the d line looking at the sideline to get the D call is unforgiveable..our D leadership is non existent..We need A LB to step up..the trouble is our Freshman on the back 7 on D didn't have many role models, Shazier Player but does it on athletic ability..even he is out of the play a lot.

It's the timing. Had Gene Smith not gone full retard and just accepted the Gator Bowl ban tOSU would a) not have had to hear more shit about the SEC. B) gotten a chance to destroy Notre Dame and take home our 8th title.

Tonight was about healing the wounds of what should have been last seasons opportunity.


The only solace I take is that the Noles are going to Ape fuck Auburn.

This is such a painful loss cause Auburn is stomping all comers right now. One of their guys had 303 yards rushing alone this evening. Tennis Shoe U isn't gonna be able to stop that.

The defensive playcalling was not bad, it is hard to hang this on a defense that has played this way all year. Our defense is not horrible. We didn't give up 50 plus points per game. We have an average defense.

My problems with the defense are limited to inconsistent tackling and stupid mistakes in the secondary. Personally, I think a lot of people would have less of a problem with Fickell if withers left. Withers' philosophy isn't working.

Offensively, there were some bad play calls, but sparty has the number 1 defense in the country. Scoring 40 points was never going to happen. And you can laugh at Bollman all you want, but he was instrumental in a lot of Buckeye wins while he was here.

Overall, both of these teams were legitimate top ten teams. Auburn is going to skullfuck FSU in the title game, and we will have another year of listening to SEC shit.

The only way this conference is going to get more respect is if we tell maryfuck and rutgers to fuck off and bring in a better football program.

How about how poorly our wrs played? I realize they are good at corner but my god we couldn't do anything at all. Multiple pass drops by devin, one that would've been 6 were back breakers to a team that had no threat passing and needed desperately for a player to step up

TH took away the running game, plain and simple, secondly why is every pass play either a long ball or a screen. Do we not have any middle and or 5-10yd routes?
