My pick for "The Play Of The Game":

4th Quarter

OHIO STATE 24, PENN STATE 10, Penn State gets the ball: A 20-yard kickoff return by Brandon Polk sets up Penn State at its 23. Barkley runs 56 yards to put the Nittany Lions at the OSU 21. Akeel Lynch, Polk and Barkley carry for a combined 8 yards and when James Franklin goes for it on fourth-and-2, Hackenberg misses an open receiver and is sacked by Tommy Schutt for a 2-yard loss. Penn State turns it over on downs.

If Penn State get an first down and scores, (there's plenty of time left and) they have the momentum and only trail by 7. That 4th down stop "sealed the win".

Just got home after a fun night watching the Bucks. As I was standing in line for the men's room after the game the guys in back of me were talking. Apparently the first men's room they tried to go to was closed for repairs. One of them said it smelled almost as bad as a tsun sorority house. Had to be the most awful smell imaginable.

  1. I remain convinced that JT Barrett should start at quarterback. This is a different team with him in there.
  2. Coach Franklin may know a bit more about Joey Bosa now than he did when he dissed him in a pre-game interview.
  3. Penn State's quarterback mobility was not the issue that they made it out to be. Thank goodness that he failed to see his open running back, when he could have thrown an unopposed TD and made it 24-17. Buckeye secondary will want to review that film and make sure that doesn't happen again.
  4. Kirk Herbstreit absolutely needs to stay away from Buckeye games.
  5. I thought the black-out was actually quite novel. The Shoe looked unlike anything I ever saw before.
  6. I thought the targeting penalty on Cam was valid, even if unintentional. The fumble recovery on the next play set the universe karma back in balance.

Can you post a link to the interview where Franklin disses Bosa? I'd like to see it if only to imagine the crow sandwich he's eating now.
