I'm re-watching the game on Youtube. I was looking for a play that apparently didn't make it onto the TV. Penn State brought their punt team on, I believe in the 2nd quarter, but possibly the 3rd. The lineup was fairly standard, but before the players got set, the 3 guys on the line to the left of the center shifted to the right side, and the 3 guys on the line to the right of the center shifted left of center. The Ohio State players all shifted with the Penn State players. I can't tell why, and the whole thing got blown dead for a false start penalty against Penn State. Around 11:39 of the 2nd quarter, Penn State brought their punt team on, and the TV just showed replays of the 3rd down play. They don't show the shifting.
Anyway, does anyone know what was going on with the formation shift, and why did Ohio State bother to shift, too? Maybe someone else was at the game and saw this?
Drive starts around 52:00. I think this was the drive that ended with the punt I'm thinking about.
