tOSU vs. Northwestern, Wed 2/19 @ 7p ET, BTN

Up until the 5:24 mark of the 2nd half Q seemed to be having his most complete game as a Buckeye. He appeared much more focused on the defensive end and getting his hand into a player to knock the ball loose. I did like to see a little emotion out of Q since he seems like a robot most of the time, just wish it was more positive emotion rather than doing what he did. Hopefully he will learm from it and be a better player in the long run.

How did he cost his teammates? They won by 16.

He did lose his composure, though, no question. But given the multiple cheap shots the Euro threw at Amir, I have trouble getting too upset with Ross. Sometimes you need to protect your house.
I did not say he cost them the game. But stranger things have happened than blowing a double digit lead in the second half, even to a mediocre team. Remember Ped State?
He was not there to help his teammates keep that from happening. Plus, he opened the possibility for the B1G to suspend him for a game. Up until that time, he had been playing a very good game at both ends. Hopefully he will learn and next time keep his composure.

I think Matta's red face would disagree with that:wink: Very immature on Q's part.
I can see how you'd conclude that, but the guys at the Plain Dealer agree with me and suggest that Matta does, too - it's just not a big deal.

Thad Matta wasn’t in the least bit concerned about Ross’ actions during the scuffle late in the game that got him ejected, quickly moving on from the topic when it was brought up in the postgame news conference. And why would he be? The junior did shove two opposing players, but Ross was coming to the aid of his teammate, and Matta understands that situations can quickly escalate in the heat of the moment. The refs got it right by not suspending Ross, and frankly, it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Didn't watch the game, but saw the video. That Center for Northwestern is a pussy. If you have to shove Amir Williams THAT far out of bounds to get a rebound.... Then MAYBE basketball isn't the sport for you.

No kidding. Then again, we're talking about a guy that, based on my quick calculations and his page on espn.com, averages under 9 min per game, less than a point per game, and yet almost two fouls per game. And he's fouled out three times, despite never playing even one full half of a game all year. It's pretty clear what role Collins has him playing on NW's team this year.
