tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

This one I think is super disappointing because it just confirms that the direction we are heading in is not good. There is ZERO confidence into next year after this pathetic showing. This on top of another loss to Michigan. There’s just so many questions problems and holes going into 2024.

There were losses that hurt more but this is probably the most embarrassing one for me just in how unprepared and shitty the offense was. The defense did everything they could to hold off a really powerful Missouri offense and our offense came out like today was the first time they’d seen each other since November.
Do you guys not remember Clemson under Meyer? That game was far far worse

Who know, but I don't think Brown or Kienholtz (again I'll give him some slack as a true freshman with virtually no reps who didn't expect to play) are the answer either. Brown has a limited sample size and hasn't looked like a world-beater when in there. Plus, his injury issues may be a legit concern. After tonight, the competition should be fully open in the spring.
I would have never said bring in a transfer before tonight, but screw it. OSU has O-line issues. Will Howard would give us one year, and is just dynamic enough to be a filler. He is mobile and is a proven winner at a lesser program.

I say, just sign him up and give us next season. Get Noland in, and if Day keeps Frye, maybe he can cog a worthy Oline together ( though they had a month - wft happened?).

Yeah that game made me question whether Meyer was at a dead end. Then he hired Day/Wilson. This game isn't that, but it's hard to have optimism with how bad the OL is and so many questions at QB.
I think it's mostly people gave Meyer more leeway cause he obviously won us an NC and had 2 at Florida.

But yeah the O-line is yeesh.. and day really needs and analytics guy. If only to break down his tendicies and get him to break them

Yeah but Meyer never seemed to be this stubborn. When something didn't work, he changed it.

That is the issue with the HC being the play caller. Day either needs to fire himself as OC and be the game manager, or just quit and be a full time OC where he can focus on the X's and O's.

I doubt he will move downward, so the only thing left is get another OC to work with Hartline.

But, we all know it's just easier to say we will evaluate everything, than just admit there are major flaws with the system. I really want Day to succeed but he is so so stubborn and loyal to people that bring no value to his program.

I am seriously thinking he won't change things on offense, even though he could on defense. If he has any semblance of self preservation, there will be scorched Earth by Tuesday, but I doubt it.

I hope he proves me wrong. I hope seriously he does.
