tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

You pretty much have to go get a transfer QB at this point, if for no other reason than you can’t trust Brown to stay healthy.
One of your few takes I agree with. I was in the "don't need a portal QB" camp. but if Devin is hurt as bad as I fear he is, it's going to mean off season surgery and most likely a longer recovery. That's going to set him back. That means a competition between a revering Brown, Sophmore Kienholz and a true frosh Noland. Knowing that OSU hasn't started a season with a true frosh since Art Schlichter in 1978 means QB is going to be an issue. ( yes I know that Braxton And Pryor both started in their freshman years but they took over mid-season)

This is where I am.

Gameplan got thrown off and Day showed 0 ability or confidence. And the team was clueless. Scheme something. Adapt. Win.

3 points…that is just. I got nothing. Long offseason.
This is the issue with Day when it comes to the offense. If you throw him off and push him out of him being able to dictate what he wants to do it’s over. This is what Jimmah has done to him 3 straight years.

He doesn’t have the ability to improvise or adjust. He may do it for a play or two, then he goes back to what he always does. The quick hitter with Tre worked and then boom back to the slow developers. It’s second down let’s run. He did it 90% of the time in the regular season. Loves the sideways plays off the motion. He’s so fricking predictable.

Yeah, we really didn't do too bad considering we only gave up 14 points, but our offense doesn't look promising at all.
The offense is good but the QB is a position of need. McCord was good but not CJ good. Brown didnt have a chance to show his mettle. This team needs an elite QB to flourish. This amount of talent around the ball was wasted yesterday. That wasn’t Day’s fault, but a turn of events/injury caused him to lean on a third string QB. I’m always optimistic. Next year will be a rebuilding year and this team will rally.

No postgame recap from me because I did not watch the game. Instead, I went to an upscale restaurant for a five-course meal and a fine bottle of Bordeaux (2010 Ch. l'Eglise-Clinet, for those of you who care about such things). I had a wonderful evening. I imagine that most of you did not.

It should be an interesting offseason....

There were losses that hurt more but this is probably the most embarrassing one for me just in how unprepared and shitty the offense was. The defense did everything they could to hold off a really powerful Missouri offense and our offense came out like today was the first time they’d seen each other since November.
Agree. Obviously it's not ideal to be on your 3rd strong QB for any team, but if you're Ohio State against Missouri you should still be able to be somewhat functional and they weren't

Michigan and Missouri went back to Bo and Woody ball. Even before Brown went out, mizzou was putting eight men up front and defying the Bucks to run the ball. They couldn’t. Mizzou kept on running and got away with it because they had a QB who could run and a center and two guards who kept making an ally up the middle that theQB found.

I assume a high end happy hour was part of that?
