I don’t think it’s Judkins or Henderson at all. I highly suspect Hayden. Hopefully Peoples is close to ready.

For context: Lynch-Adams rushed for over 1000yds and 12 TDs last year. Wouldn’t be a match-for-match but he looks pretty good:

I don’t think I’d be worried about anyone leaving over this kid. Let me be brutally honest: this is a 5th year RB who hasn’t produced more than 300yds until year 5, he’s not OSU caliber, he’s UMass caliber. But I’m guessing he wants to be closer to family(he’s from Warren), a quick glance at his Twitter/X, and he has a daughter, and I’m sure he can get a nice NIL deal as a hometown hero. But honestly,I don’t think he could beat Peoples on the depth chart and will be a scout team body.

But still welcome to the family and Buckeye nation

Same exact thoughts. He previously signed to Rutgers and then eventually transferred to UMass. Then entered the draft, withdrew his name and back into the portal. Kid had vision and speed and solid depth, but Peoples better be ready to step up this year big if this all unfolds.

I honestly don’t think Lynch-Adams’ decision is even a football decision as much as a business one. I can see this being an example of a kid who knows he won’t get drafted, and his football career can be over in a year. So why not go to your hometown school, see your daughter and earn a high five figure salary for the year and get your grad degree, debt free. It’s actually a smart decision, and one that we’ll see more and more with NIL. Not everyone can get a brand new Challenger, 6 figures, steak house ad deals, etc.

Very possible. But why not wait and see who else enters the Portal? Not saying that Lynch-Adams may not be the option in the end. But Day and OSU aren’t in a desperate position, they’re filling the 3rd RB. The next few days will be interesting leading up the Portal opening on Tuesday

I just meant that they were already looking at him a few weeks ago before the Hayden announcement. I’m assuming that if they were interested then, they could still be interested now.

I do agree with you 100%, it’s not a big “rush” (pun intended) right now and we should target the best available.

I think we can guess some of the players that may hit the Portal for OSU as most of you on this board follow OSU quite intently. And the "dark" side to the Portal is going to be some even stronger convos than the ones Urban had. Essentially guys will be "cut" if they're not producing or show how they will improve the team in the coaches eyes. This is what happens when finances enter the conversation

Also, Josh Pate is starting to walk back some of his claims of the Portal being so wild. He's saying that he doesn't think all the named he heard will actually enter now...
Something else to think about, SEC players cannot transfer to other SEC schools. So there are a bunch of coaches in other conferences sweating. Because schools like UGA, Ole Miss, Bama, etc are coming
