tOSU trademark issues with BP

The term Intellectual property kind of seems like a misnomer when applied to the phrase "Who dey?"

I wonder who owns the rights to "bi-atch"?

I hope Snoop has copywritten "Foshizzle". If not I may copywrite it and force him to stop stealing my inizillectual proziperty.

Duely noted. BTW you now owe me $10 for using my intellectual property. I must ask that you discontinue use of the "-izzle" suffix or any of it's various misspellings [hereafter "-izzle"] on any words other than "chisel" for which I do not own the rights.

I called the NFLizzle
and spoke with Paul Tagliabuizzle

So shit. I really did call the State of Ohio and Who-dey and all variations are all owned by the Bengals and NFL properties. I could have purchased the right to use them for around $100,000. But considering I was just looking for something to do in Summer vacation from OSU, it seemed not do-ablizzle.

BB, checks in the mail.

This site didn't get on their radar because of our size, but because one of our guys was nice enough to run the t-shirt idea by OSU to make sure we weren't actually doing anything wrong, and in turn we got shit on.

As for changing the site from ".com" to ".org", that means shit. There are tons of commericals sites using ".org", ".net", etc., domains

Actually, we got snubbed because we weren't big enough to be considered and fed the line "tOSU is currently overlicensed in t-shirts" which I'm sure Nike would have heard from them. They really didn't give us the impression that we were gonna have big problems unless we tried to fight the system, and then out of the blue this email comes.

I'm withholding judgment, but let's just say that I'm not convinced that it was my contact with them that spawned this C&D.

Your use of BUCKEYE PLANET on clothing, and your registration and use of the domain name buckeyeplanet.com website to sell items replete with OSU trademarks and traditional colors, has been undertaken with full knowledge of OSU's products and services.
:shake:

Your acts not only infringe upon OSU's rights, but are also likely to dilute the distinctiveness of the valuable OSU Marks, and to confuse consumers into believing that they are going to a website authorized by, affiliated with or otherwise connected to OSU, which is false.
False? So is your original premise. :roll1:

Ohio is the "Buckeye State" so I don't know how OSU can take claim to the word Buckeye.

As taxpayers and inhabitants of Ohio, we should be able to use that word.

I don't see a licensing logo by the word "Buckeye" on my Ohio Statehood poster that has the state's nickname (Buckeye State) on it.

So does the state of Ohio have to pay OSU when they used to have "Buckeye State" on the license plates?

What is we changed the name to bukeyeplanet? Without the "c".

You can't tell me they have that trademarked!!

How about "fizzle", "drizzle", "sizzle"? Be-yizzle...

I am currently in litigation with Worldwide Restaurant Concepts (formerly named Sizzler International) as they are disputing my well established rights to "sizzle".

"Drizzle" is property of The Weather Channel Interactive, Inc. (referred to as "The Weather Channel" or "TWC") and as such is outside the scope of my "-izlle" copyright. Any claims you have regarding the use of this property should be handled with their council directly.

"Fizzle" is property of "The Howard Dean for President PAC" and as such is outside the scope of my claims.

Your use of the word "Be-yizzle" however, was well after my claim to any "-izzle" suffix was made public and as such I will be pursuing legal action.

Have a good day, Bi-atch!
