2025 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Per 11w poster:
Post official visit updates:

EJ Holland doesn’t have any confidence Michigan lands Mariyon Dye, also said Michigan gave it their best shot with Jordon Davison but doesn’t think it will be enough.

Alex G has Ohio State leading for Porter and believes Michigan is the only other competition. Said Ohio State strengthened their lead with this visit.

Imagine their tears when all 3 are Buckeyes.

Usually after a visit, the school should lead or at least move up the players list... :smug:

Team Ranking per average recruit ranking.

1. Ohio State - 14 commits (95.14)

2. Oregon - 7 commits (94.23)

3. LSU - 11 commits (93.81)

4.Alabama - 12 commits (93.65)

5. Georgia - 10 commits (93.47)
You would think a school that won 3 straight conference titles* and are defending National Champions* would be up there. Where is THAT school ranked?

Oh, wait...............

Per 11w poster:
Michigan fans think a commitment from Isaiah West will remove Ohio State from being a potential landing spot for Jordon Davison.

Their insider EJ Holland set the record straight that Davison is fully aware that Ohio State wants 3 RBs in this class. He also mentioned that Davison has been in constant communication with West over the past 3 days. Very significant.
Another fan said that he doesn’t believe one of Jackson/West signs with Ohio State should Davison commit. EJ once again set the record straight that Ohio State has been honest with all 3 and the 3 are okay with being in the same class.

"I'm OK with three, just show me the money!" they all said....this example of a kinder, gentler tOSU has been the norm for ? how long? Read several times that Day asked Treveon if he is OK with signing up the RB from Mississippi, and Treveon said that if it helps us, go for it. Cannot see Nick or Dabo doing something like that. Wonder if it stretches to acquiring Sayin at the QB position? Ahh, the twists and turns of college football. Just when one thinks they have it figured out, they change it up on you.

This is not new or exclusive to Day. Nick did the same thing with Tyler Buchner last year. Dabo doesn’t bring in transfers. But you absolutely have to communicate and be up front with guys about what’s going on at their position.

Also, if it was “kinder & gentler” Kyle McCord and Dallan Hayden would still be on the team.

Not disagreeing with you buddy. But Dabo doesn't use the Portal, and I wonder if Nick would ask a player if he was fine if he brought in another player at his position. Or are we comparing apples to oranges since Nick is the GOAT of coaches in CFB and Day is still a guy yet to win a chip. Does 1 ring allow Day to not ask a player or is it closer to 3 or 4, or does it not matter? Not questions for you to answer per se, but just for everyone to follow moving forward because I'm also interested in the answer

Ohio State football waiting for some big-time commitments

After hosting a ton of big-time recruits this weekend, the Ohio State football program is waiting for some commitments.

The Ohio State football program hosted a ton of recruits over the weekend. They had a total of 12 prospects. The Buckeyes had multiple five-star recruits there as well. It's perhaps the most important recruiting weekend of the year because of the sheer talent that is in Columbus.

While no recruits have committed yet, that doesn't mean that it's not going to happen. In fact, there are several rumors coming out of Columbus that a few big commitments are about to happen. The only question is how many of them there will be. Ohio State will be ready to get them in.

The Ohio State football program already has the best recruiting class in the country for the 2025 class. It should only get better after this weekend. While they know championships aren't won on the recruiting trail alone, it's a lot easier to win a championship when you have all of the best players.

Ryan Day is focusing on getting the team ready for next season. He knows that if he doesn't win big this year he could be on the way out the door. However, he also understands how big of a recruiting weekend this is. Recruiting is the lifeblood of any football program.

The assistants for the Ohio State football program have done a very good job of recruiting all across the country. Day has surrounded himself with the best recruiting coaches in the country. Brian Hartline is the best of them, and he landed a couple of prospects in the last couple of weeks.
