Don't know if we're any more than a hat on the table here, but
Pretty sure he’s gonna be a Longhorn

Don't know if we're any more than a hat on the table here, but
As is the case every year since recruiting began there will be names not associated with OSU right now that will pop up.
Other then Reese I don’t feel like any of the main known targets are greater then 50%.
It’s been a rough couple weeks in terms of prospects that were at one time thought to be favoring OSU.
Bonus, Downs, Curtis, Hayes, Aillen, Bowles.
Arvell Reesebut we do need a LB in this class and we've gotta regroup after Curtis. Not really sure who's a realistic option
But in the last 30 days or so, we've picked up some high-caliber commitments that were a surprise (or at least to us fans). That said, Curtis and Downs were two elite guys in my view that would put the class over the top and two that were very gettable. Downs is still a possibility (though I'm not worried at all at DB with the commits we've got), but we do need a LB in this class and we've gotta regroup after Curtis. Not really sure who's a realistic option, but it might take a year of seeing Knowles' defense before the LB recruits buy in. Seems to be the only position we're lacking in this class (assuming we land most of the DL we're in the lead for currently).
YepIt sucks we didn't get Downs, but let's be honest this was going to be an uphill battle. You have an elite recruit from the Southeast, and we know Bama and UGA were going to extremely difficult to defeat for him. Especially with Bama constantly having top talent sent to the NFL, and constantly in the NC hunt. And then you have UGA who just fielded a historic defense last season. While OSU had a soap opera on their defense. A DC who was relieved of his duties after Game 2, an interim DC who never had the position before, and the defense as whole looked like it was thrown together and completely inconsistent. It's up to Knowles and Co. to change the defensive narrative and field a competent and dominant unit
Yes it's kinda like Meyer and Day taking over. Both couldn't convince a high end RB to join the first year cause of the unknown on how they would do despite Ohio State's historic running back history. Both started getting good recruits once they showed it.It sucks we didn't get Downs, but let's be honest this was going to be an uphill battle.
