Rivals' Adam Friedman had a recent interview with Samson Okunlola where he said he won't be visiting schools for awhile because of the cost involved but he hopes to be able to visit some around spring ball time. He mentioned Texas A+M and Ohio State along with Penn St. and Pitt for mostl likely Official Visits. Also mentioned liking Day.

Sounds like a kid who needs to work out an NIL deal for himself and get some travel money together.

Wonder if anyone in the world could help a kid with something like that?

Birm put him right with Padilla and Montgomery as a core OL group that you can swing for the fences nationally from.

Birm said that Austin was being solely identified and recruited by Coombs and Stud so Ohio State had to start over with him. Also his HS head coach is best friends with Kerry Coombs.

Monty is a prototype T.
Long, athletic, lean, plays hoops, plays DE.

Side note:
I’m beginning to think we have a shot at the violent La. Lb.
Tackett Curtis or Curtis Tackett.
Knowles has been on him for years.
He is NOT (edit) partial to LSU.
Knowles visited him twice recently.
I originally thought this was an offer we threw out there for giggles.

Curtis was just interviewed by 11W. This was a pertinent exchange..
Q. "How different would it be to go far from home even if you really liked the program and everything it had to offer?"
A. "That's not a huge factor for me. I'm just looking for the best fit. If that's in Ohio, that's where I'm going to go."

Sounds like he's not favoring anyone until he takes visits this spring (says Ohio St.will be one). Also says he was very impressed by Knowles visiting him a couple times in Many.

This is a very different tone for leaving the southern region than most LA recruits in the past. I think he really likes Knowles, and I'm very sure that Day and Knowles will knock the visit out of the park
