RECRUITING: Viral eighth grade prospect Justus Terry claims USC offer
Eight grader Justus Terry, the viral football sensation of May, claimed to receive an offer from the Trojans on Friday. Terry went viral earlier in the week after posting a picture that highlighted his 6-foot-5, 260-pound frame.
Terry also claims offers from Western Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University. Terry is followed by USC quality control analyst Bryan Carrington and Director of Scouting & Player Relations Jeff Martin.
The Georgia native announced he will begin his high school career at Manchester. He is listed as a defensive end and tight end.
There is not much out there on Terry, outside of the viral explosion and social media commentary his advanced size has created. He is not yet rated by any of the major services, but that should change quickly once he hits high school.

Didn't USC do this with another 8th grader?
The Forgotten Prodigy
Lane Kiffin anointed David Sills the future of USC football at 13.
Six years later, Sills is still trying to get his career back on track.
David Sills didn't ask for Lane Kiffin to show up and turn his life sideways. Didn't ask to be offered a scholarship to mighty USC when he was just 13 years old. Didn't ask for the national attention, and then scrutiny, that came with the offer. Didn't ask for all that uncertainty while still figuring out puberty.
"I never asked for any of it," he says.

Three years later, Kiffin was fired, and his replacement, Steve Sarkisian, said Sills no longer fit USC's scheme. Then Sills missed a majority of his senior season in high school because of an injury, and the next thing you know, he's sitting in head coach Dana Holgorsen's office at West Virginia after his freshman season, and one of the game's most respected quarterback gurus tells him he can play a long time in the NFL.
At wide receiver.
"For someone who has worked his whole life to play quarterback," Holgorsen says, pausing to reflect, "yeah, that could not have been easy to hear."
"If you told me in seventh grade that I was going to be playing wide receiver at West Virginia, I would've never believed you," Sills says. "I'm not going to lie, it hurt."

Ahh yes, David Sills. The QB that ended up a WR(is a New York Giant, so at least he made the league)
Not @pnuts34, just replying to the thread.
Say what you all want about offering a 14 year old... but that 14 year old is jacked. Ho Le Krap. If he does nothing more than grow, offer him a first off the bus scholarship.
Not the star-power of some other LB grad transfers we chased, but wouldn’t be surprised if we are in contact. Solid player that anchored a pretty solid UF defense. He’d certainly add depth and bring experience. I have no inside knowledge on situation.....
