2018 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

As @sparcboxbuck said, this is stacked for OH standards, were usually having to leave the region to get multiple lineman like this. And you can also throw 4star Steven Fauchaux in the mix as well at DE.

Not to mention we can have multiple DTs and OGs from OH as well. Put up a fence in 19

Exactly on the bolded, I think he grows into a 3-tech and maybe plays a combo role, but he is a certified talent. I want to see all of Harrison, Potter, Stover and Fauchaux in this class if possible. Loaded year on the DL in Ohio for sure.

Think we may have chased too many big fish this cycle on the lines. Wish they had a lower ranked Ohio or Midwest OT we could bring in and flip quickly just to get some depth. And the walk on program seems to be favoring skill positions.

Early NSD has changed that method of recruiting. Most of those OH and Midwest late sleepers that we may have gotten in the past have been, and will be signed by a lower tier school during the early NSD.

If I was a conspiracy theorist kind of guy I would look at a guy like Matt Jones and wonder why he isn't a 5 star as well as a couple others in this class. Some even have TE Ruckert as a 4 star when he as proven himself to be "elite" time and again. So much is "subjective" in ratings. Or biased.

Holy crap-ola. I scheduled business travel on 2/7-8 thinking that there were going to be no big fireworks on Wednesday.

Thankfully that wifi on American is tolerable. Starting to look like a pretty good day could be ahead.
Just flew American this weekend coming and going to Dallas, hope you have better luck then me... btw Allen HS has the greatest HS stadium I've ever seen in my life

If the balls are solid

Schiano Total pro. He did us a solid.

The breadth of his experience, contacts, respect coupled with his professionalism to keep grinding even when it appears he will move on is remarkable.

He has been our recruiting MVP even with one foot out the door.

It appears he delivered Friday (former player of his at Rutgers was Friday's HS coach), JJB (God like status in Jersey because of the job he did at Rutgers) and NPF (sons played HS ball with him in Tampa) on a silver platter.

After the early signing period our class was woefully short at DE and OT.
Schiano stepped up and showed grit and character.

Whoa, whoa, whoa....how can you be so sure that Zach Smith didn't orchestrate this?
