tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I posit we don't procure either of the DT's.

I would be in favor of efforting a OT.

No true OT's in the class and the current pipeline is lacking.

Michigan has 5 OT in the class. Let's kick the rites on Honingford.
I'd put Myers and Davis up against anyone OL in scUM's class! Both could start as OG and move to OT year 2 or 3, and I'm sure there would be little dropoff. As that is what may happen with Jordan in another year. We certainly have quality guys, with a possibly Munford at the end, but he's an absolute wait until the end for, until you know where Tufele and Wilson are going.

Nobody is saying Myers and Davis are not elite talents.
It's my position they are better suited for the interior.
The are elite talents.

My point is we don't have a true OT in the class.
There aren't many on the roster and Jam Jones and possibly Pridgeon will be gone after this year.

I feel like we'll see some new names pop up soon. Addition of Wilson and Day, now will include their opinions. Dead period over, recruits and players departing, some expected, some not... Urban is never quiet, he is the King of Cruitin.
And for all the concern over room in this class, if Stump and Collier leave as rumored we are one short of 85 with the current set of commits. We will almost certainly be losing another handful of transfers and medical hardships by next August.

The space is there for any blue chippers who want to come our way.

In light of this offer, I'm wondering if OSU might circle back on Danny Davis or JaVonte Richardson when the dead period ends tomorrow. Thoughts?
I don't think so, but I'm sure they will kick the tires on a lot of prospects, both in and out of state. I think with Jig there was always the question of what position was he best suited for. With Davis I think he is a guy with a decent floor but limited ceiling.

Kentucky has a chance to close with Bowden, Davis and Munford. Would be a home run for Stoops.

Most folks predicting Wilson to LSU and Tufele to Utah .. it would be disappointing to miss out on one of those 2
Disappointing yes but there is still some time left. Wilson still to visit LSU and Tufele to visit USC and BYU. Expect LJ Sr. to spend some more time with both of them as well. If they swing and miss on both they are at least bringing in Garrett and Cage. I'm far less concerned with only bringing in two DTs than I am bringing in two OL, both of whom I think project inside.

Agree totally and have been saying the same. It appears Honingford won't be an option? Anyone else other than Munford?
