tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I don't think kids that age give a crap either way. Not too many 13-14 year old diehard Cavs fans. Hell, most kids that age probably like the Heat.

I loathe the bastard, but to 14-18 year old kids, he's a rockstar. Only good can come from him being associated with tOSU.

This x100000000

Hate the guy .. but if it helps OSU I'm fine with it

This. I am pretty confident that just about 100% of the attending recruits don't care about how Lebron left Cleveland. Having Lebron on the Ohio State sidelines amongst the recruits, decked out in Ohio State garb and cheering on the Buckeyes, was huge for tOSU. I saw him signing autographs and joking around with some of the recruits.

Agreed on the "only good can come from him being associated with tOSU" part...just saying the '14 kids aren't oblivious to LeBonehead leaving Cleveland and how he did it.

Lebron James on tOSU sideline and giving a pregame speech is one of the coolest things to be seen by any HS recruit. Better than even having former players trot out and talk to a kid. Lebron is the biggest and one of the most famous athletes in any sport. Regardless if you're a bitter Cavs fan or not, to a HS kid, Lebron is the king. I don't see many other schools being able to bring out a current athlete of lebrons magnitude to their campus and roam their sidelines. It was a great recruiting strategy by urban and staff, and time will tell if it paid off. Though I'm sure most if not all the visitors had to be über impressed with getting to chill with Lebron.
