tOSU Recruiting Discussion

You do not turn down Dixon...make room somehow. Holley is very important. Brown might be the odd man out.

Exactly. If we don't get Dixon, it'd be because Alabama convinced him to join as the next Amari Cooper, not b/c some dude on the internet said OSU wouldn't take him.

The other scenario would be if OSU lands another skill position player, like Brown first. No way they'd turn down both Brown and Dixon.

Regardless of the way, you get 2 skill players like brown and Dixon in your class, and find the room. Alabama, and more likely at this point Miami, are osu's main competition. IMO, it's a while before this kid commits, as he still wants to take officials to Alabama and Osu. And he's visited Miami multiple times, including a week ago.
Holley definitely has a spot.

Brown could be a HB...

So with only 2 real spots left as Prince, McMillan, Holley and Lattimore will take half of the 6 who gets left out?

i think you almost have to take a TE because we only have 5 TEs this year and in 2 years will only have 1, so you dont want to force yourself into taking 2-3 in a class.

i think these are the last few names for those 2 spots

Lautua
Gesicki
Mavety
Smith
Dixon
Brown

i think Smith and Mavety could get both left out, taking one of Dixon or Brown and one of the TEs

With Thomas going out I think that opens the door for Gesicki. The other 4 are McMillian, Prince, Holley, Lattimore. The last spot is a tough call between Smith, Matvey, Brown and Dixon.
Right now, I believe the official number is 22. That means we have 5 spots left. And given some attrition that happens every year, I think we get one or two more. I'll take McMillan, Prince, Holley, Lattimore, Smith and Maverty, and call it a day.

2013- Heuerman (Jr), Vannett (So), Baugh (Fr)
2014- Heuerman (Sr), Vannett (Jr), Baugh (So)
2015- Vannett (Sr), Baugh (Jr)

That's all provided Baugh doesn't get redshirted this year. They can still wait until the 2015 class for a TE (not saying they will).

Does that count the loss of Jamie wood and maybe blake Thomas?
