Game Thread tOSU @ Penn State, Oct 25th @ 8pm ET, ESPN

I see your point on that and my counter point would be that Ohio State historically has been domiant over both Sparty and Wisconsin and that both programs in the short term have been better secondary teams within the past 5 years for several reasons. I can't deny that. I just wonder if those programs will have the staying power as secondary teams for the long term, especially with Wisconsin in the West division and Bert being gone

That has been my main point, that despite whatever I believe, that the potential is there, and for a lot of posters it seems they can't even admit that the potential is there.

There is no mutual respect - therefore there will never be a rivalry. They see OSU as cheaters (SEC of the north) that don't follow the "success with honor" edict as dictated by JoePed. We see them as a fraud program built on lies and deception and their fan base as a cult. That's the cold hard truth.

Did the coaches and players not respect one another either? Maybe, maybe not I don't know, do you?. "Never" is such a strong word.

I highly doubt they did, but I wasn't alive back then.

If you were that would have been impreesive.

It's official! Penn State's 2014 Whiteout will be against Ohio State on Oct. 25 at 8 p.m.

I'm not too knowledgeable about cults and all. I jokingly call that fanbase a cult, because of the garbage I read on BWI. But really - acting and dressing alike, and rewarding this behavior, and punishing anything that doesn't follow the crowd - isn't that called brainwashing? Isn't that how cults operate?

It goes without saying that Ped State has the (undisputed) worst fans in the nation let alone the Big Ten: so who knows what actually motivates them to buy a ticket. However, just maybe it is a ploy to help sell some tickets. Ped State has a variable pricing structure for their tickets too. The Ohio State game is their most expensive ($100- $200 per ticket) in 2014. Lots of tickets are still available; and (according to their website) "Single Game tickets will be available to the public in July 2014".
