Va Tech isn't as important. Honestly, unless they beat OSU, they are not going to be considered a powerhouse team this year. Their stock has been declining rapidly over the past 2 years.
Until I see something happen on the field to make me change my mind, the following are games Ohio State can only lose: Navy, Kent State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota.
That leaves three games to win and earn a shot at the NC: Michigan State, Michigan, and Penn State.
That could change quickly once August 30 hits. Minnesota could possibly break into that order, Cincinnati might go into late November with only one loss:
Toledo, Miami (OH), Ohio State, Memphis, Miami (FL) ((possibility of being one of the few teams to beat both Miamis in one season)) SMU, South Florida, Tulane, East Carolina, Connecticut, Temple
Houston.
While I understand and appreciate how many on BP feel about Joesus, Sandusky and the folks at BWI, the bucks still have to play the schedule out. That makes the Penn State game important, possibly the second most important game on the schedule until the CCG.
