Another rival? Ain't nobody got time for that.

My hatred for tsun burns so white hot that it consumes all other games on the schedule. The other games are fun to watch and it sucks if tOSU loses, but my well-being doesn't hinge on the outcome of those...other games. Tsun is all or nothing.

@cincibuck

Part of a rivalry or being a rival is because you want to beat the other team. I personally don't even want Ped State to have a football program much less playing them as members of the same conference.

it's not hate like as in hating scUM because they are a rival school in a rival state. It's hating them because they shouldn't be in the same situation for sports (more or less) as Ohio State for various reasons. Simply put, their performance in the Big Ten since they were selected has proven their legacy to be a false prophecy and their False Idol has since fallen due to his actions in helping to cover up child rape. They don't DESERVE to play Ohio State or Michigan or Sparty or any of the rest just like they don't deserve to be in the Big Ten or even the NCAA any longer.

That's not what a rivalry is built upon.

Then who are the "true rivals?" There have only been two teams on our schedule every year until this year. The other "big game," Illinois, faded long ago. I don't see Rutgers and Maryland becoming rivals anytime soon. I don't get anywhere near as vexed about Michigan State as I do Michigan OR Penn State.

At least you are getting treated better than I did for bringing up similar points. God speed. lol

I think someone mentioned the PSU game being the 5th and he was being generous as the most important game on this year's schedule. Obviously the Michigan is #1, with Michigan State being #2, and Va Tech being #3. The PSU game would have to be #4. I would love to hear the rationale on how the likes of Navy, Kent State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota are more important, to put it generously as someone said are more important than the PSU game on this years schedule.

I put the Jugalos at #4 and Penn State at #5 We absolute have to beat those clowns down in Clifton.

Va Tech isn't as important. Honestly, unless they beat OSU, they are not going to be considered a powerhouse team this year. Their stock has been declining rapidly over the past 2 years.

Until I see something happen on the field to make me change my mind, the following are games Ohio State can only lose: Navy, Kent State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota.

That leaves three games to win and earn a shot at the NC: Michigan State, Michigan, and Penn State.

That could change quickly once August 30 hits. Minnesota could possibly break into that order, Cincinnati might go into late November with only one loss:
Toledo, Miami (OH), Ohio State, Memphis, Miami (FL) ((possibility of being one of the few teams to beat both Miamis in one season)) SMU, South Florida, Tulane, East Carolina, Connecticut, Temple
Houston.

While I understand and appreciate how many on BP feel about Joesus, Sandusky and the folks at BWI, the bucks still have to play the schedule out. That makes the Penn State game important, possibly the second most important game on the schedule until the CCG.

I agree on your point on Va Tech. I was just trying to figure out out some could possibly put PSU as the 5th most important game and could only come with 2 solid games that were more important and was throwing in Va Tech for that posters benefit.

A non-conference game against a school like Cincinnati is more important than a divisional game on the road? I get the hate for PSU, and I really would love to blow Cincinnati out of the water, but to say one is more important than the other disdain aside seems odd to me.

For anybody thinking about going to this game, don't. This game is going to rival 2005 in terms of how riled up these fucking cretins are going to be. The only hope is that Michigan finds a way to beat them two weeks before our game.

And surprise, surprise....they have a fucking bye before our game. Seriously....that's going to be a dangerous game to be at if you're wearing scarlet and gray.

They have to go to Rutgers this weekend. And before everyone laughs, we are talking about a PSU team that came within an eyelash of losing to an atrocious UCF team on a "neutral" field.

They struggled with Akron, too. Still....the way this fucking year is going, they'll be undefeated going in to that game with 2 weeks to prepare for both Michigan and Ohio State. That's fucking Alabama levels of homer scheduling from the B1G that supposedly hates them so much.
